I recently got my hands on the Sony Pulse Explore Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, and I am absolutely blown away by the performance. These headphones are a game-changer for PS5 gaming, delivering immersive, crystal-clear audio that brings every game to life. The 3D audio on these headphones is simply phenomenal. I can hear every detail, from the faintest footsteps behind me to the intense explosions in front of me. The spatial accuracy is so precise that it feels like I’m truly inside the game, giving me a competitive edge and making my gaming sessions more thrilling than ever.Comfort is another big win for these headphones. They fit perfectly, even during long gaming marathons, with no discomfort or fatigue. The build quality is top-notch, with a sleek, durable design that looks as good as it performs. The wireless connectivity is flawless—no lag, no drops, just seamless audio that stays synced with the action on screen. The battery life is also impressive, keeping me powered up through extended gaming sessions without a hitch.Overall, the Sony Pulse Explore headphones are a must-have for any serious PS5 gamer. They deliver an unmatched audio experience, all with the freedom of wireless connectivity. If you're looking to take your gaming to the next level, these are the headphones to get. Plus, the fact that they're specifically designed for the PS5 makes them the perfect companion for the console. Highly recommend!

The moment I found out there were earphones that could connect to the PS5 through Bluetooth, I went to buy them that day. Unfortunately they had connection issues and would periodically lose Bluetooth connection, ultimately, having me restart my PlayStation in order to reconnect to the console. I took the bad headset back to Best Buy and did a swap. I haven’t had any connection issues with the new pair. Sound quality is good and more comfortable to use that a head set if you want to game or watch movies for a few hours.

Great sound quality and battery life, comfortable fit and convenient features (volume control and the ability to connect to multiple devices) make these earbuds worth their price. The only real downside is the mic quality, which is to be expected when using earbuds instead of a headset

I was really excited when I heard about Sony releasing these earbuds. I have several headsets that I use one wired one wireless plus airpods for music. So when I heard I could use these for my PlayStation, my PC, My iPad and phone I was in! Once I opened up the box I could see that they were a good quality product. they didn't feel cheap so that was an immediate plus. Set up was pretty easy, although the instructions are kind of generic so be prepared to fiddle around a bit or watch a video if you're confused. I will say I was surprised to see a dongle to connect the earbuds to my PS5. I would have thought as a Sony product it would just connect but not so. If you're lucky enough to have the Portal, then they will connect to that no dongle needed. Ok the important thing. How do they sound? I was disappointed initially with them. I'm used to having bass boost going and being able to adjust the sound on the fly. These do not do that. They are also not noise cancelling but it does have something call noise rejecting. so basically if you're talking (phone call/ game chat) it uses AI to filter out the background noise. Supposedly. I assume it works I have not had a chance to use it so I can't speak from experience on that. I was surprised that there wasn't more adjustability. The settings on the PS5 are very generic basically turning on 3d sound or not. and not much else. Anyway, all that being said, once I hit the internet to find out more about these earbud (I should have done it first I know - don't judge me) They are NOT meant to compete with Beats by Dre or anything in that range. They are meant to be a GAMING HEADSET. If you approach them with that filter they aren't bad. I used them all day today and they did grow on me. Voice lines are crystal clear, Sound FX is good, music is good. They are pretty comfortable and have multiple pairs of ear pieces for as close to a custom fit as they can get. they are smaller than they look in pictures but they are still way larger than air pods so keep that in mind. I wouldn't say they are heavy but you will notice them for a while until you get used to them. there are volume rockers on each bud which is nice. If you have the Edge controller you can also change the volume via the menu buttons. It does have Bluetooth as well so you can connect it to your iPad and phones no problem. The important thing about having Bluetooth, is you can utilize both the link and Bluetooth at the same time. So you can answer a call while gaming and hear both at the same time, or listen to music from your phone and chat to friends in your game at the same time. which is nice.
So what do I honestly think? I think they are a good product best for a very specific type of person. If you are looking for something that can easily go from PlayStation to PC without having to pair it, have the ability to answer your phone, chat with your friend and hear your game. Then you'll probably like these a lot. For what they are (earbuds) they are good. I give them a 4 out of 5. They are well made, they cram a lot of versatility into a pretty small package. I commend them for that, however Personally I feel like there should be more integration between these buds and the PlayStation 5 (and maybe it will down the line) so for me they are a little underwhelming.

Pros: Great sound, comfortable fit, Charges fast. Great for parents who want to keep an ear on their kids while they sleep and want to play PS5.
Con: Initial connection to PS5 not intuitive, and frequently disconnects.
I would still recommend because when it does work it’s great. So I put up with them. You need to make sure you physically connect to your PS5 to update earbud firmware otherwise earbuds do not work at all. Even if previously connected.

Bought these to use along with PS5 and playstation portal. They sound great and once i figured out the goofy shape they fit comfortably. Dual connection is a plus. I have experienced minor sound cutouts during use, but very rarely. Seem a bit expensive for what is really a dedicated use item. Mainly wanted them since sony decided not to add native bluetooth on Portal. Really wish i didnt need a dongle for PS5(i know i can use bluetooth, but you lose a few features).

I got these since I like the in ear type headphones instead of the over the ear ones. Syncing them up with my portal wasn't hard. The only thing I don't like is that if I want to use them with my PS5 I have to resync them with the device. I have not tried connecting them to my phone and don't plan to so I really don't know how they work with that. I do say that they are very comfortable to wear and the sound is what is expected. Yeah price is a little high but it's Sony so what do you expect

altho it could maybe do with better rubber tips, nice earbuds all around. sound pretty good, don't fall out like you'd think, & you can control them with the dualsense edge. also can connect to phone. at the same time as ps5 if u want. have had a few connection issues, but fine other than that. just like with the dualsense edge, if u have the extra $ to drop on them, nice addition to the ps5, as well as being able to use with phone

Sony really missed the mark on these. Dont get me wrong the sound quality is stellar and the battery life is exceptionally long and they're pretty comfortable as well... HOWEVER, the reason these earbuds get a 2 star rating is because they are notorious for connection drops. Some days you could get hours of play out of them and other days you would have to cast a spell or pray to the gaming gods in order for them to stay connected longer than 15 minutes. I wouldn't personally recommend these, I would wait until another generation or firmware update.

The sound coming from these is so crisp and clear. Game and chat audio is very comparable to a pair of over ear headphones. Simultaneous Game and Bluetooth audio is very convenient for phone calls or watching guide videos on phone/tablet. There are very occasional cut outs but the buds will quickly reconnect. No built in sidetone is a shame. Great to wear with glasses!

Sony sound quality is guaranteed and these ear buds deliver. Super easy connection to the PS5/PS5 Pro console - as long as you have available USB ports. Charging is just as easy and you don't have to connect the charger to your console; any low voltage charger will work. Impressive sound, not quite as surprising as the full 3D headset, but still comfortable and long lasting for hours of gaming.

I had always wished for a pair of earbuds for the PlayStation, going back to the PS4. When I heard of these being released I knew I had to have them. I was disappointed by a few things in order to get them though. 1. It seems like Sony really dropped the ball with announcing the pre-order for these from PS direct, which is what drove me to buy them from BB. I was grateful that BB did have them available. 2. Sony must have also had some delivery issues themselves, since BB didn't even ship them until Dec 4th and they arrived Dec 6th, when they should have been delivered by release date, Nov 26th. 3. Aside from the ordering issues, the product itself is very underwhelming for the price. As others have mentioned, because of the size and shape they're very uncomfortable to wear for any extended period. 4. The controls on the earbuds are ONLY for volume adjustment, which are also ONLY functional on the PS5. At the minimum having a mute button for game chat/calls would've been a nice feature, but sadly there's none. 5. The microphone quality is weak. People I've played with said it sounds very distant. The isolation of just voice audio does work well, but the mic seems to pick up the sound of your voice echoing instead of being directional. 6. The earbuds have very limited range and can disconnect very easily. Even when you are within range I've had one bud disconnect for seemingly no reason. 7. Lastly, the PS link with 2 adapters doesn't swap as easily as you would think. It's almost like you're putting it into a pairing mode again, but just requires pressing the link button for 2 secs on the earbud case and adapter instead of 8 secs. Even then it still seems like it takes just as long to pair as if you were to have actually done a normal pairing mode setup. I will compliment the sound quality, as I did hear things in games that I hadn't before, which is why I'm rating it 3 stars.

I really wanted to enjoy the Pulse Explore earbuds but maybe it was the size of my ears that either wouldn't hold the earbuds or it would be so muffled that I couldn't hear the dialog very well. Bass is on the mid to lower side so don't expect loud thumps. Volume isn't too high but the tradeoff is that you can play on your Playstation Portal and connect to your phone for a call at the same time. Is it a good product? yes! Would I recommend it for its use purpose? Maybe. Price is a bit high as you can get much better quality headphone from Sony itself for $200.

My normal at home headphones are the SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless headset. They are amazing in every way, but don’t work very well when traveling. These fill that gap perfectly. I absolutely love having dual inputs, allowing myself to hear two audio inputs at the same time. This allows me to work with them on, watch tv while playing, or listen to music. They connect without the USB dongle to the portal, however, will need the dongle for the PS5/computer. I’m hoping future consoles will have this build in much like the Portal. This is important as Bluetooth needs to be used for the other Audio input. They connect well and instantly. They have had connection issues multiple times. These are good for a very specific thing. Listening to two inputs at the same time. If you don’t plan on using that, or don’t want buds specifically for the ps5, for the price, you can get much better Bluetooth headphones that will do everything these do and more. The sound quality is just okay. All around, these headphones are very good, but they’re far from great.

If you aren’t using them to pair with PS5, PS Portal or another game console, they are most likely not worth the price. That said, when properly fit to your ears (trial and error with the ear tips) they sound fantastic!!! I was able to hear sounds that I had NEVER heard before with surround sound or other headphones. Overall when using with both my PS5 and Portal, they are Amazing! Using them with my phone, they are just ok. They definitely aren’t nearly as bad as some ratings would have you believe.

I purchased the PS5 earbuds from Best Buy and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The sound quality is absolutely incredible, with deep bass and crisp highs that make every game and movie come to life.
The earbuds are also very comfortable to wear, even for extended periods of time. The design is sleek and modern, and the earbuds fit snugly in my ears without causing any discomfort.
The mic works great for in-game chat, and the controls are easy to use. I also appreciate the tangle-free cable, which makes it easy to use the earbuds on the go.
Overall, I highly recommend the PS5 earbuds to anyone looking for high-quality sound and comfort. They are definitely worth the investment!

Ive been using them for roughly an hour and so far I love them, I was surprised at howngood the sound quakity actually is, after seeing many reviews from the initial launch about how poor the sound is, but they actually sound pretty good, first thing I tried was music from my phone with no EQ and the bass is heavy, next up I tried my favorite game “Gran Turismo 7” and the cars sound crisp and you can hear the roar of the engines perfectly, I also like that I can hear my tires break traction and that helps tremendously because I could also tell exactly which tire it was that broke traction, next up we have another favorite to test with and that is Call of Duty, just like in GT7, I am able to pinpoint where enemy players are with the help of the “surround sound” (I used quotes because let she honest, these earbuds dont truly have surround sound), explosions are deep and bassy, gin shors are clean and clear, in game comms are clear as well, next up lets discuss Chat, ill cover Discord & PlayStation party, firstly I am blown away by how clean and clear the mic sounds, people ive talked to in the PS Party say I sound clear and you cant hear my background (usually I have my AC on and I sit right in front of it), whatever AI processing that PlayStation put into these are definitely working 100% and even listenijg to my friends and speaking with them they sound clear aswell, and Discord is everything I just mentioned but increased a tad bit so chat for me I give them a 4.5/5, now for the design I actually like the “Mini PS5” look of the case, ive been laughing since I bought them because they literally look like a tiny PS5, I love having that little light in the front if the case to give me battery life, the buds themselves have a weird shape but its also kinda cool, you have to be careful when you put them in your ears for the first time but you’ll get used to it, as for comfort the buds themselves arent super comfortable but they’re not horrible, I was able tonuse the degault ear tips but your ears could be different, I do notice a slight fatigue in my inner ear drums where they sit, but its not unbearable, I can just feel that there is soemthing in my ear, I say maybe take them out for a bit every 2 or so hours comfort is probably a 3/5, now on to the software experience you get EQ directly from the PS5 you have a few default options and of course you can go in and fine tune it to your liking, finally the bluetooth / simultaneous connection is great especially when gaming and either listening to music or taking calls, all in all I would give these buds a 3.5/5 theyre great I would say a 4/5 or even a 4.5/5 if they were priced a bit cheaper
