The sound in recording file is clear. Menu and setting are pretty straight forward, makes it easy to use. Especially it comes with 2 AAA batteries in the package, allows me to be able to use it right away. It does the work expected! Will recommend.

Very nice pocket size recorder. Easy to use with lots of recording time and transferable. It's simple to record, however in order to replay and transfer you need to take time to read the owners' manual. Has microsd and headphn jack and transferring jack and usb port.

Decent recorder, especially like the built-in USB. I prefer the layout and ease-of-use of an older Sony that I have, but it's getting a little tattered. With more frequent use, I'll probably get used to this one but I'll probably use the old one until it goes belly-up.

I was going to a retreat and I was in charge of taking note everyday and give report at the beginning of the next day as well a full report at the end of the retreat. It did the work really well. The playback was very clear even though I was not too close to the podium.

I sit in the back and it has clear recordings from lectures. The battery life is great too!

This voice recorder is simple to use. It works well while I teach my class. The price is right as well.

Good recorder, except, it's hard to "mark" points within the recording to easily go back and listen at that spot, rather than listening to the whole recording. Also, slightly cumbersome to rename recordings. BUT great quality recordings and quick to start, which is very helpful. Battery has lasted long, as well.

I found this recorder to be very helpful. I think the font on the screen was a little too small for my taste, but the sound was really very good.

I recently bought 4 of these. I record speakers at conventions and I got these for back ups to the more expensive recorders I regularly use. The quality is shockingly good and often indistinguishable or better than the more expensive pro recorders we regularly use. They have an excellent battery life and are a great size for working with little podium space. The mics are excellent. They are extremely simple to operate as well. Even my most technologically challenged cohorts can figure them out. I work with a lot of different recording outfits and most of them have gone out and purchased some of these since I shared my experience with them. Some of them weren’t using back up recorders and I told them, these are cheap enough, it’s a no brainer. The price recently increased due to tariffs but I still purchased another 4. These have never let me down.

I am intimidated by new technologies but I needed a "tape recorder" and what is on the market today are digital voice recorders. So I took the plunge and bought this one after researching this with various sources. It is small but has a good feel. I went online and read the users manual as well as the instructions that came with it. There is a learning curve here if a person is not knowledgeable about related digital products and basic pc file structure. But it is easy to record and play back as well as download an audio file to a PC. It is versatile allowing a person to adjust for the environment/conditions in which a person is recording. For the price this unit produces a quality recording. I was amazed at the quality of the recordings. The only negative I found was some of the instructions online were not clear or detailed enough. As with many instruction manuals that accompany digital products the writers "assume" some steps and are not as clear as they should be for a new user. Sony needs to improve the instructions but the unit is solid and produces a quality sound at a reasonable price.

Great voice recorder. The control display is laid out nicely, without being too small or complicated. The playback of recordings is very clear and doesn't sound distant. Some previous recorders that I used for recording class and piano practice sounded as if the recorder was in another room. Quite distant sounding. This recorder is small enough to place on my desk without being in the way or cumbersome. It seems to be well made and og good quality. Thanks........JL
