So I bought this 2 days ago, and it arrived really fast today at around 11am. I get everything out looks almost brand new, plug everything in and turn it on and it works fine. Setup all the settings and turn it off. I have HDMI plug into Vizio 26" TV with 1080p. I turn it on about an hour later, loads then screen gets all messed up and freezes. I literally spent about 3 1/2 hours trying to fix it and couldn't. Pretty good product, can't even play one game without it dying.

What can I say about the PS3 that hasn't already been said? I can say that the graphical quality of the PS3 is superb as expected with today's gaming consoles. Backwards compatability is a must and sensible if one has a large catalog of older Playstation games. This was the primary reason for my purchase of an older/refurbed PS3. This is a good machine and has preformed admirably so far.

it was real easy to order and i checked all around the net for my son to get another ps3. i bought him one when they first came out about 5 years ago and i left it on all the time and it burned up. make sure you always turn off your PS3 because they all have a problem of overheating. anyways this was the best price for the ps3 i could find. used are totally different then refurb. always get a refurb. over used. refurb are factory rejects that are fixed and then resold. they are the exact same as new just fixed by sony before being sold. better pricing then new with the exact same performace and reliability.

Bought one new... $499...got two years out of it before the YLOD. I sent it in to Sony and they charged me $150 to fix. Took only 6mo for the YLOD to return (naturally the $150 warranty you get is only 90 days). There is a flaw in the motherboard design...it will overheat. So for two and a half years worth of use...cost me $650. A good portion of that time I wasn't even able to use it. When it works...it works great. But for the $250 they are asking...just pay the additional $50 and get a slim. Unless you love to sauter on motherboards.

comes with a warranty,I first bought a new one, it lasted 2 years, it broke, I bought the refurb, it works better than the other ever did... I put endless hours on both systems so its worth it.

I have a lot of fun with this thing. I play mainly shooters, and role play games on it and the graphics are wonderful, even on a non hd tv. I love that I can play games, watch movies, surf the web, watch netflix on it and so on. There are too many things great things to say about the ps3. I have no problems with it, and i recommend it to people who love to play games and watch movies but do not want to buy three separate electronics just to have em.

For the price you can't be beat, I can't believe these are even listed, it's soooo hard to find at stores. With the refurbished model you'll get a geek squad warranty as well, Premier Silver ring a bell!?!? I've received a refurbished iPhone from the geek squad and it had a file compressor installed; wonder if geek's did it for the PS3's as well. MUST BUY SUPERIOR TO XBOX IN EVERY WAY!!!

I got exactly what I expected when I purchased this item. No surprises either way. The controller was a little beat up but it works fine.

PROS: Great graphics, good design, free internet. CONS: Broke after two days, please save yourself the trouble and just buy a new PS3 or 360, these are poorly repaired and shouln't be purchased.

I spent a lot of time looking for a great deal on a PlayStation for Christmas. Ultimately, I decided to go to Best Buy because of the service I know I'll get if there's ever a problem with the unit. The price wasn't actually that great, and that's the only negative to the purchase. Everything else about the unit is perfect.

Some of these items may be shipped to you in excellent condition but sometimes they may come with a faulty controller. I received my refurbished PlayStation 3 80GB yesterday. I was really excited and set it up immediately. The moment I turn the console on for the first time it tells me I need to connect the USB Cable to the controller then insert it into the port of the console. The second step was to press the Home button in the middle of the controller once its connected. Now I previously owned a PlayStation 3 when it first came out and when you connect the controller to the console it connects almost instantly. But this controller for the refurbished console did not. I waited hours while the four lights on it blinked and got no activity. This morning, I turned it on and tried again and left it blinking. I am unable to get past this process of setting up the system. I am just going to return the console and purchase myself a brand new one instead because I have a lot of games that I wish to play.

When I got it the RCA cables didn't work so when i put another cable from my PS2 it worked but there was a short somewhere in the RCA plug-in. It worked great for the first 4 days but after that it would freeze up and then it just stop working all together. So i brought it back to my nearest Best Buy and just bought it brand new. The savings was not the much for the trouble that I had with it.

I bought the refurbished 80GB PS3 from BestBuy.com because of their finance plan, and it was the best price I saw compared to others on-line. So far over a month of owning, and all good. I only use it as a Blu-ray player, since I also own an Xbox 360 for gaming. You can't beat Best Buy's finance plan or their warranty of trust.

The PS3 is probably the greatest console yet. At one point it was cheaper than a blu-ray player so it was like a 2 for 1 combo (And still is). This system is great for all ages.

Even with problems with shipping late delivery than broken system finaly I got what I ordered but where is guaranti if not delivered before Christmas we will get gift card

Very disappointed that this was advertised as PS2 compatable and isn't. It says right in the instruction manual that it's not...oh well what to do now...

First off I want to say that I've been a PlayStation fan since the PS1, but the PS3 is one system I honestly can't recommend. When Sony launched the PS3 it came with some very nifty features, specfically the ability to play PS2 games, as well as the ability to run Linux via the Other OS function. Neither of these core selling points now exist on the current consoles, in fact, Sony has released an update that removes the "Other OS" feature. As an Information Systems student in college this was very disappointing, because I was going to use my PS3 for Linux(testing) as well as a back-up PC. I had done some initial setup for Linux on my PS3, then a few weeks Sony put up an update that totally removed the feature, I was shocked. At first I was excited about a system that could be updated, since it could have potentially have more features then when I brought it, now it has even less. Sony removed this ability for "security" concerns, basically an attempt to stop piracy before it even started, and hurt legit customers. I can not recommend a product that can potentially loose features over time to anyone.

The ps3 does everything its just amazing. Music free online netflix plays any dvd.

Great deal. Ps3 is by far the best game system. This price is cheap.
