I added tge smaller Sony Subwoofer to my Sony Siund Bar! Wow! Sony certainly has made an efgort to enhance the sound in (different) sized rooms amazingly clear & even my wife was happy! (She was worried that the sub would make the sound too loud & booming …!) Ots been perfect! Love it!! Makes the room the best one to watch a show, movie, sports, etc! We’ve VERY happy! Ill add that the hardest part was conbecting the sub to the sound bar. Yet Sony support over tve phone was also very good & helpful! Sony rules in this house!

Essential addition to HT-A5000

Added to HT-A5000 and Sony Bravia X80J. Big difference for movies, games, Because of that sound bar’s limited sound EQ adjustments. Connected very easily, quality materials, attractive and not too big.

This subwoofer is a must-have for your Sony HT-A5000 series surround sound system. The difference is like night and day. Once you plug it in, you'll understand what you were missing. For a music and movie lover like me, there's no system without it. It's a must-have if you want to feel and hear the Movie/Music like it was intended. I enjoyed my Sony HT -A5000 series sound system so much that I recently gifted it to my son, simply to upgrade to the Sony HT- A7000 Series for myself, which brings my 86-inch room Theatre to life. It doesn't disappoint.

The Sony SW3 was surprisingly very good. Didn't need it's bigger brother this had plenty of bass for what I need. Easy set up and wire less. Got it on cyber Monday at a great price.

I’m very happy with the sound and quality of this speaker. It really adds the punch to the sound bar. I do think it’s a little pricey even though I saved some by buying open box. I paid extra for the excellent condition which is supposed to have everything that comes with the speaker. It did not have a power cord and also was still paired to someone else’s system so it would not read my sound bar out of the box. Still a good savings even though I had to go to Bestbuy for a cord. Happy with my purchase.

Add depth of Sound to your Sony Soundbar

I have the Sony Atmos Sound bar, and with this wireless subwoofer, it takes sound to another level by the subtle and discreet addition of fuller base, and depth in any movie, sports program (hear the bat hit the baseball) and its seamless and worry free setup as my TV and SoundBar are sony so it all works without issue.

Performs well beyond its price-point!

The Sony SW-3 is a solid all around performer. If you want to rattle your dishes, it’ll work. If you want to shake your neighbors house? Not so much. At low to upper middle loudness it performs VERY well without the punchy, jabbing shortness that is so common in smaller form factor bass tubes—they often have insufficient volume to keep up with repetitive and exceptionally deep bass. This sub only suffers mildly from this effect when it is maxed out. Otherwise, you’ll get a phenomenal enveloping bass experience at almost any other level.

Great wireless subwoofer

Great wireless sub, better than the larger model that has a passive radiator. This thing thumps and rumbles when it needs to and it doesn't take a lot of volume to get a lot of sound off. The remote control has buttons to turn the bass up and down. I have it set at 5 (out of 12) and it gets plenty loud. It's paired with the AT-5000 and it's a grear combo that packs a punch. I played around in the store and tested out a bunch and was happy to take this one home.

Much needed subwoofer for the Sony HTA5000!

I bought this with my Sony HTA5000 sound bar! The Sony HTA5000 does have a subwoofer built in, but I strongly recommend buying the standalone subwoofer. It adds the deeper sound the bar itself cannot quite hit. There are two options available for the HTA5000; this one and a 300 watt. I bought this one because my space is smaller and the bigger version would probably be too much. This subwoofer maintains Sony's high quality standards!

No downside and seamless

I purchased this bundled with a Theater Bar 8. The reviews I watched online suggested as much and I must say the base and overall sound quality is very good! No wires except the power cord and it automatically connected wirelessly to the sound bar. Very nice!

Great subwoofer for a small to medium size room. Easy to connect to Sony soundbar using the Bravia Connect software on my phone. No lag or delay in signal and very powerful for only being 200 watts. Recommend the larger 300W sub if you have a larger space.

Great for small rooms or apartments

I read all the reviews and was tempted to buy the bigger SWS5 unit. I bought this unit because I live in an apartment. I found out that this was the right decision. Out of respect for my neighbors I routinely have to turn the volume down as this puts out quite a bit of sound. Hooked up seamlessly and I have no issues with keeping it connected.
