All About That Bass… Not With My TV

Great Sony Rear Speakers!

Great for small rooms or apartments

I bought this unit because I live in an apartment. I found out that this was the right decision. Out of respect for my neighbors I routinely have to turn the volume down as this puts out quite a bit of sound. Hooked up seamlessly and I have no issues with keeping it connected.

It was easy to setup and when you combine it with a Sony TV and soundbar you can control everything with the TV remote. The subwoofer added the right amount of base for whatever i was listing or watching. Great buy for sure.

Low thunder rolling, deep soft music stingers, or fast explosions. Even super tricky dubstep bass is no problem for this subwoofer. Easy wireless setup. Its easily controlled via the Sony sync setup on screen. You need this subwoofer to complete your soundbar system.

Adds bass to music. But the subwoofer will not enhance a poor sound source. For example, commercials on cable programming sound even more annoying and boomy with the subwoofer on. Fortunately, you can adjust volume level on sub. Also note that subwoofer does not add clarity to dialogue. So best used for movie sound effects and music.

components (i.e., a TV broadcast). You can check the audio settings of your soundbar to improve the overall listening experience. Hope this helps!

That technology was from "The Good Guys". Remember them? They went out of business about 21 years ago and it has held up well since I bought it over 20 years ago but THIS SONY sub, at 200 watts, blows my old one out of the water when it comes to deep, rumbling bass! For my needs, 200 watts was more than I needed and, if I had a larger living room, I might have bought the 300 watt sub but, at a much lower price point, this one works great! Best part? All you do is plug it in and it will pair with a Sony soundbar automatically!
