A: You should have no problem after you locate your receiver’s input bank, and subwoofer input port. I’m like you with my family room system (really big TV): I pump audio from any source to 13 speakers and 2 powered subwoofers through a flagship Denon. Your 400w should deliver just fine, especially with power from your subwoofer pulling up the audio it processes. Good luck and have fun! Brian in Colorado
A: The port needs room to breath, right up next to the wall will greatly diminish your sound. The manual shows the best position is angled in towards the listening area, not straight forward.
Q: 50 watts doesn't seem like much power. Is it enough for a good size loft?
A: Don't know what you mean by a good size loft. I have it in a 15X15 Bedroom and it adds more than enough bottom end! Very happy with it's performance.
Q: Can I connect this subwoofer to a Yamaha ats-1070 sound bar ?
A: Yes you can and the Yamaha Sub delivers true bass, very rich and deep frequencies.

Added boom boom
Adds a crucial dimension to the home theater system. I have a dolby certified sound bar but the external hookup needed the extra "umph" and "kick" to add the surround component to the sound. I love this added completed system and now I can say my setup is complete!

Yamaha subwoofer
Great little sub so far. I use it primarily for music in my man cave, and it has offer a very solid performance for the price so far. The adjustable gain makes it very versatile. Have not used it for movies yet, but I think it will sound great.

Great value
Needed a very compact subwoofer. This was one of the most compact 8" subwoofers that I could find that wasn't extremely expensive and had good reviews on the internet. I see why; it's a great subwoofer. Use it for my 5.1 surround system in my condo and it provides great bass
