This speaker has a great sound quality for a compact speaker. Perfect for small spaces, the sound surrounds my apartment. You can boost the bass as well. The optional color sequences are great for night music.

Great speaker for the size and the money. Has a good amount of bass, maybe a little overwhelming for some but if you like something portable with bass and is water/dust resistant this has you covered.

For its small size, this Sony speaker packs alot of sound! Good quality, nice bass sound, loud even at half volume and admittedly I like the ridiculous flashing, colored lights.

This is the portable speaker to get. The sound quality, battery life, and durability are outstanding. I've used this speaker for about a year, and I've traveled extensively with it. It's been to Burning Man and several other festivals. I have other weatherproof portable speakers, and this is my favorite because of the sound quality and other features such as the ability to use it as a speakerphone and phone charger. I bought a second one so I can connect the two for stereo sound. Highly recommended.

This blue tooth speaker has great sound with bass. The added color lights and strobes really make it unique. Holds charge all day. Good buy for the money. Very pleased so far.

Needed a replacement for our previous Sony product, this fit the bill, great sound, portable, waterproof, and the kids love the light function controllable by a simple app.

I loved the sound, good strong bass and I like the light customization. Great battery life and happy about the water resistance. The problem is that I've had is that the speakers eventually loosen inside and there's rattling every time any deep bass notes hit. You can't easily open it to repair the issue, and I've bought this speaker TWICE. After the problem occurred the second time I went with an Anker speaker and have had no problems since. This one is now collecting dust in my bedroom.

Was surprised by the quality of sound, portability and ease of use. For me a strong competitor to Bose and battery life is great. You will not be disappointed!

The Sony SRS-XB31 is a package of contradictions to me. On one hand, it's a really elegant looking device with easy-to-access and understand controls. It syncs up easily via Bluetooth. You can use it as a speakerphone with your cell phone. It has big sound. You can daisy chain wirelessly for a multi-room or large party. You can charge your phone via USB (generally the big internal battery lasts around 24 hours if only playing music) Oh and wow, it's waterproof and dustproof! On the other hand, it has this wild color changing LED around the perimeter that seems to have nothing to do with the music...and then there are two strobe lights (they CAN be turned off). The sound quality seems to suffer from the fabric that keeps the speaker water and dustproof. I may be making too much of it...but I was disappointed that the elegance of functional features were overwhelmed by the muffled sound (who says parties shouldn't have high volume AND high quality sound ?!) and the wild, unsynchronized LED (that can also be turned off, but why not allow it to be either synchronized or set to a favorite color?!) An optimistic take would be - this is a really sophisticaed but easy-to-use party and beach speaker. It's also probably really great for teens and college students who want a little visual bling.

I decided to go with the Sony SRS XB31 after looking at many Best Buy reviews and comparing different models and companies right in the store. I am so happy with this Bluetooth Speaker! The sound is incredible and the battery life is excellent, especially with the lighting off and played at a relaxing volume. I don't buy electronics online. I go to Best Buy, try them out there, compare different companies and make my decision. I believe in supporting retail stores. I may be a bit old fashion, but without Best Buy I'd really be lost as to what product I choose to Buy Best!!!!!

Very easy to use, great sound quality, very cool changing lights, wish you could link two together for stereo sound with lights outside, but still super cool

The sound quality is good, it is easy to connect via bluetooth. The size is small enough, I can easliy carry it room to room if I change locations.

The lights on the speakers sync up with the song which I find amazing and is waterproof so I can use this near the pool, and it is extremely loud!

Love the sound and bass and being bluetooth and that you can use 2 and have them sync so you get surround sound and I love Sony products.

I bought my husband the SRS-XB41 and we were so impressed with it's sound,quality and bass that we purchased 2 SRS-XB31 for our sons, and It just as amazing, loud,clear,powerful sound clean sound and incredible bass. It is slightly smaller, lower price but smaller in sound and it party links with ease to my husbands SRS-XB41 I would recommend the SRS-XB31 to anyone.

The sound on this speaker is great. Definitely fills a room. I don’t use the lights, so I won’t comment on those. Battery lasts all day.

Great speaker, has nice sound and bass. Compact and light but packs a mean punch when paired with my phone and other Bluetooth speakers.

This bluetooth speaker is lightweight, loud with excellent music quality and easy to connect to. Definitely the best for what you pay!
