I bought these to replace the ear buds on my iPhone as I wanted something that sealed in my ear canal better to remove outside noise (note, these are not noise cancelling headphones). They work great as expected. They are not high end earbuds, but thta is not what I was looking for. They are comfortable to wear and have good sound. They have a mic for use in phone calls or using voice commands. Only real downside is there is no volume control built in.

These were amazing earphones! Sound quality is great, and the price is very fair. Only complain is the lack of volume buttons, and that the cord occasionally tangles - I would have preferred a flat cord.

I absolutely love these earbuds! It comes with 3 differently sized silicon coverings to fit your ear, it dulls outside noise considerably (which is essential if you live in NYC, and need something to drown out the city noise as much as possible), the sound quality is great, and it has a sleek look. There is a mic and a single button on the small rectangular unit of the left ear side wire. If you're listening to music, one click pauses/plays the music, double-clicking skips to the next song, double-clicking while holding down on the 2nd click fast-forwards through the song you're listening to, triple-clicking goes to the beginning of the song/to the previous song, triple-clicking while holding down on the 3rd click rewinds the song that you're listening to. My only complaint is that there are no buttons to turn the volume up or down like there are on the earbuds that come with the iPhone. Regardless, every time that I accidentally put these through the washing machine, because I forgot them in my pocket, or when I lose them, I buy this pair again, because the price for the quality of earbuds you're buying is great!

These headphones have really good sound quality and were affordable. They are also very comfortable, I have no problem wearing them for a long time. The only con is that there is no volume control on the cord like the other Sony pair I bought several years ago. But otherwise these are a good pair of headphones.

Have had time now to really listen with these ear buds. They are way better than the super-cheapo ones, and I love the microphone and call answer / pause button. Treble sounds pretty good (not the best), and the bass is definitely present when you listen to something that really thumps. Good buy!

Great sound quality for the price, works great with my android phone. Lightweight and stay in good while exercising.

I purchased the Sony Step-Up EX as a replacement for my broken earbud headphones. The sound quality is good and they are comfortable. For this price range they seem to be a bit above average.

I bought these because the rubber earpiece forms a seal in the ear as opposed to earbuds which rest in the ear. I bought them to use on airplanes to block out the white noise of the airflow sound. Excellent. Bought another more expensive brand and returned them for these. Great comfort, outside noise suppression, and sound quality. Great value.

I love these headphones. Good sound, comfortable fit, convenient button, and they're DURABLE. My last pair lasted for over a year of very rough use and it was my fault they broke. Better in every way compared to other earbuds in their price range and many above it.

These headphones fit great in my ear, they sound great, they really cancel out other noise around you. Reasonably priced, highly recommended.

I liked the vivid color, the comfort and the sound quality. They never popped out of ears nor did I have any issues with these earphones.

I use these when I am off duty and working my second job as a contractor, which is an active job, as well as when I work out. I like these earbuds because they cancel out most of the loud noises from the equipment I operate while providing good sound, including good lows (which seems to be hard to find in earbuds). They are extremely durable. I've even ran these through the washing machine and they still worked! I had another pair of Sony earbuds years ago and they were stolen. After going through several pairs of other cheaper ($15 range) earbuds and being disappointed in more ways than one, including sound, I've come back to these and will likely stick with them for a long time.d

My "Sony - EX Series Earbud Headphones" were faulty. Decided to upgrade to these. Sounded a bit better. Wire is more plasticy than rubbery which is fine. Tends not to tangle as much. Use them for the gym and they usually stay in place if you have the tighter fitting earbuds in. Overall pretty decent pair but it doesn't have volume control which i sorely miss.

The ear buds work well. I like that they came with different size replacement ear pieces. I'm still using the one that came on it. I do wish that the ear buds had a straight 3.5mm plug instead of the right angle plug. Oh well, personal preference. I use these at the gym all the time. Put them, even with no music playing yet through them, it's like putting on comfortable earplugs, all the noise practically goes completely away. They are very powerful, in the sense that they have a strong pre-amp. My last pair I had to always have the main volume on the device at 3/4 or higher to hear normally. These I can have it at 2/5 or 1/2 and be totally fine and drown out everything around me. :D Anyhow, they are comfortable and have a grip to them, so when they get sweat dripped all over them, I can still grab it easy and adjust it. They feel really comfy too. I chose these over a pair of insignia ear buds for about the same price.

I just wanted something to listen to podcasts while riding my bicycle. I wasn't concerned about something that delivered super quality sound. Just something that would block out the ambient noise so I wouldn't have to crank the volume and damage my eardrums. These work fine and are exactly what I expected. Decent for their price.

i roll around in bed with earbuds on and they ALWAYS break within a month or so. NOT THESE. These are durable little things. The sound they put out is decent. Definitely worth the money. The only thing i didnt like is for $30 they should be made anti-tangle like some headphones that cost around 30-50

I bought these because I've been using over the ear head phones while listening to music. I bought my current headphones because of the rating for sound quality (they were $250 on sale) and believe it or not, these ear buds sound almost as good as the headphones do. The mid range and the highs don't have the exact clarity or separation as the headphones do, but for $15.99, these are quite a bargain! It was even better after I applied my $5 certificate to them. I bought the white ones because they were cheaper than the black and the color doesn't make them sound any different. They are pretty amazing little buds. They also came with 3 extra rubber inserts that should fit just about any ear size. They seal well inside my ear and I'm happy with how they sound. They don't lack in bass, but also don't overpower the mids and highs. The clarity of the vocals is nice too. The highs are soft and sound like you'd get from a nice, smooth fabric (silk) tweeter. It's not too bright like you might get from a metal one. I had a set of more expensive Klipsch buds ( Reference R6m's) and I actually like these better. As far as Best Buy, I ordered them on Saturday and they said that they'd be here on Tuesday. To my surprise, they actually arrived on Monday. I have been impressed with Best Buy's shipping process. All in all, this was a Great buy and I wouldn't hesitate to get a set of these buds from Best Buy!

Great sound for the price point. I wanted basic, fairly cheap ones that weren't so cheap I'd actually be unsure if they were children's toys. I have used similar style buds from a competitor that leads the market in that price point and loved them, but I wasn't going to spend the extra cash for what was intended to be a short term backup set. I am more familiar with Sony over ear recording style sets which always sound great, so i figured they wouldn't be horrible. I have to admit that I was pretty shocked by how great the quality is across multiple devices. My only issue was compatability related with my phone regarding the button functions. They would only mute and unmute sound. I could care less about that, but it's something I recommend paying attention to if that is an important feature for you. Admittedly I wasn't expecting much, I chose that price point not with great expectations, but I needed a backup set for 3 days. I knew I was getting a pair when my new phone came in, and since children seem to have great timing along with their desire to destroy headphones I wasn't going for top notch, but as far as ear buds go.... I got excellent sound quality

I only buy Sony in ear headphones. They are comfortable and fit perfectly no matter your ear shape/size. The sound quality is great and the headphones last a long time.

I got these because Samsung quit issuing replacement stock headphones for the Galaxy phones. These were actually pretty good. Sound was clear, and they fit snugly in the ear. Only problem is the wires are a little thin, and they feel like they will snap at any moment. For the price though, not a bad investment and replacement for the Samsung stock headphones.
