I was using Skullcandy inkd 2.0. After using it for 1 year, Recently I bought this. While comparing it to skullcandy product I can compare it as below. Bass: 8/10 (inkd 2.0 - 9/10) Mid: 8/10 (inkd 2.0 - 6.5/10) High: 7.5/10 (inkd 2.0 - 8/10) Overall clarity is better than inkd 2.0 and more comfortable. Product is designed better to ensure it last long from cord breakage.

I liked these ear bud headphones. Comfortable and sound great. Add a star if you're going to use them for your smart phone because the small in line button can pause the music. I don't use them with my smart phone though.

These Sony Step-up EX Series earbuds are highly addictive and never fail to satisfy your musical needs. You will surely consider your purchase as money well spent. The problem with products that appear too good to be true is that they usually are, and that is indeed the case here with this particular brand. Admittedly, the main CON has everything to do with the life expectancy of ONE EARBUD. Yes, that's right, not the earbud set, but the left bud itself! As many other customers have already explained, the left earbud seems to always give out after a month or so. Sure you get annoyed at the situation, for we all know that every wasted dollar is precious. To make a long story short, I have purchased these earbuds 3 times now and, I must admit, I have no plans to upgrade or change the brand anytime soon. I am sure that Best Buy and Sony love hearing/reading that, but it's like I mentioned before, if you are looking for perfection, these Sony earbuds, despite their malfunction, are it! To all music lovers like myself, just keep in mind that these are small earbuds, not coliseum speakers, so there's no need to blast up the volume on your device. Believe me, I know. I had to learn that lesson 3 times the hard way lol.

I bought a pair of these and loved them, not the best sound in the world, but for the price, pretty decent. I also loved being able to use them to talk on the phone and/or control my music. However, after about 1-2 months of extremely careful use (I HATE having to shop for new headphones), one of the ears just stopped working. I could not find any way on the manufacturer website to have them replaced, so eventually I bought another pair of the same headphones. After about one month of being even more careful, the exact same thing happened. Extremely disappointed, as otherwise I love these headphones.

I'm so torn about these headphones! I have purchased 3 pairs in the last 9 months, and now they are all broken, in the exact same way: left earbud stops working. I love these for the sound quality and the comfort because I wear them for hours at a time. They are just the perfect cheap and simple earbud and I want to keep buying them forever, but they only last 3-6 months so I just can't justify it. Hopefully other people have better luck!

This is my fifth pair, so they are not hardy enough for daily use. I do enjoy the sound quality and comfort of them!

The sound quality on these headphones is outstanding: just a tad under the sound quality of the insignia brand in-ear headphones (which are my all-time favorites). Everything is great, and there isn't too much of anything. Some headphones have too much treble, while others have too much of a hollow sound. This pair sounds great. The headphones cancel out most of the outside noise, so they're great for watching movies on your computer or laptop at a coffee shop, or if you're on a plane, and don't want to disturb others around you. However, for exercising outdoors, I would recommend a different pair of headphones, only so that you can let in outside noise (ambulances, fire trucks, etc), and be aware of your surroundings. Overall, a great set of headphones. Highly recommended.

Love these headphones! Last a long time & are comfortable.

I always purchase Yurbuds, they are decent price wise, and the sound is great! There were none available when I visited best buy and purchased the Sony step-up. What a mistake, I hate them but didn't want to go return them due to a busy schedule. The sound is not that great and the feeling in the ear is awkward.

I keep buying these over and over again, I find them to offer better bass reproduction than other more expensive earbuds, they are easy to use and are very good quality, last ones lasted me for 2 years of heavy usage.

I like the product, my only problem sometimes is that it doesn't stay put on the ear, and it falls.

I've gotten myself into a cycle where I buy these with the warranty and then when they inevitably break a couple months later (usually the sound goes out in one bud), I get a replacement pair...and spend the $10 again for the protection plan. I really like the fit of the buds (the Apple ones are really uncomfortable for me/don't even stay in), and these have been great for running but I think I'm going to give up and try to find maybe a slightly more expensive pair that lasts longer.

Just what I expected. I use my earbuds so often that I need a new set about every six months. Usually one side will quit working. So far, so good with these.

Great mid-level ear buds. Not gonna sounds as good as a $500 set but way better than most at this price range. Use them every day.

Worked on the airplane just fine. I would purchase item to keep at work.
