I have been using Sony's in ear headphone for nearly a decade and in the past 7 years have used the same pair. From sitting at my desk editing photos or films, to wearing them while rollerblading or riding my Ducati motorcycle. So when my last pair unfortunately broke, I knew I would go to Best Buy to purchase a replacement pair. I immediately went to the Best Buy website, located them at a store near me & without a concern, purchased them without reviewing the product features on the packing. It was when I got home, opened up the package, put them on to use while editing & went to adjust the volume of the music that I noticed I was unable to do that. Upon closer inspection of the headphones that I noticed all I could do was go to the next track with the button on them. Disappointed & buyers remorse flooded through me as I felt taken advantage of by Sony - having charged me the same money for a product that now had fewer features. If you're looking for an inexpensive, comfortable pair of headphones that you're only feature is to skip to the next track or answer a call, then this is for you. But if you're looking for headphones that you can adjust the volume along with the other features noted - you'll want to get a pair that's further up the food chain with Sony or a different brand's product altogether.

There is NO volume control. They sound good, they fit comfortable but without volume control what's the point? The button lets you skip songs, pause, and call up Siri, but like I said, no volume control.

The overall sound quality is good, as long as you don't move. The noise transfer from the wires to the speakers is really bad. If you want good sound from these headphones you need to stay perfectly still or you will hear very loud thumps from the wires moving against your clothing. These thumps can be so loud that enjoying the music is imposable. I eventually bought the Bose headphones. A little too over priced, but with less annoying noise transfer (they do still have some, but not as loud).

The sound was great, fit was great, but one of the earbuds stopped working after less than a month.

I would be satisfied with the audio these earbuds deliver, but the stiff cord that was used in this model greatly detracts from the sound. Move your head while listening to music, and what you here is a distracting rustling sound that is physically transmitted up the cord to the earbud. It is not a loose connection, or anything electrical, it is simply the stiff cord dragging across your clothes as you move. The cord is NOT soft and supple like the Apple earbuds, and is much stiffer. Even though I generally find Sony products reasonably well built, they clearly missed an important consideration in selecting the cord for these earbuds.

Headphones functioned well when it worked. Really good sound then I had a problem. I expected them to function properly for longer than a month. These headphones were actually handled with great care and they didn't last a month. Extremely disappointed and don't recommend them.

These just didn't deliver. The build quality is ok, but the sound was kind of a let down. Little bit muddy and muffled. If you don't mind the sound they should perform well for the price.

I bought these headphones for my son on our trip to Las Vegas, they worked well at first and my son was happy with them, after a week, the right earbud stopped working. I'm going to return them.

The sound I get from these earbuds is pretty good, but others cannot hear me well when I use this as an audio device for Skype on my laptop. Apple earbuds have worked well.

I had bought this because I was looking for a cheap alternative to taking my phone calls hands free as well as maybe listening to some music once in a while. Although the voice quality is decent, the music quality is really bad. It is not clear as I would have liked it to be. The plus is that it fits nicely in your ear, comfortable to wear for life my periods of time. Overall, for voice it's ok, for music it's bad.

While the sound quality of these headphones is not bad, the cord tangles very easily and they are basically useless in cold weather. A little overpriced.

Not the best for listening to music, not much bass. Also uncomfortable suction when taking headphones out of your ears. Don't buy these.

Good sound for the price, but it's the second pair of Sony headphones I've had that died after just 6 months of light use.

The sound quality is good. But I have only had this item for just over a month and the left earbud stopped working.

This headset doesn't have volume control. I purchased these to temporarily replace my Bose. Will go back to Bose soon

I had hoped these earbuds would have a richer, fuller sound. The highs are too pronounced with little or no bass

Right bud quit working after two weeks. Good sound until then.

I don't like a lot of base to be honest but these headphones Have none at all. Walked out of Best Buy popped them in walked about 2 mins than turned around to Best Buy to exchange them. They are okay but i couldn't deal with no base

These are average, workaday earbuds. Comfortable, light, pretty much you won't know they are in your ears, other than the sound. The sound quality is just average. Not quite balanced. These lean more towards high and mid range sound. There is comparatively little bass to these. I actually rated these are "Fair" because they simply are not worth what they cost. Not expensive, mind you, but these should cost no more than $10 for the actual sound quality.

My last pair of sony ear buds had a great fit into the ear canal. I think the ear bud shaft was a bit longer than this set, so I am constantly having to adjust them . Sony eliminated the volume control as well. I will be changing these in the near future for a better pair.. No more Sony....
