The Sony was highly rated and has lived up to those ratings. The wireless connection was extremely simple and the player quickly downloaded an available software update after one hiccup. It streams video and plays both blue ray and standard DVDs with clear, crisp video and audio.

We upgraded to this after quite an older first generation hardwired smart player. The internet we have is horrendously bad and this player was quite a bit faster for us than the old one even with bad internet. Only complaint is the startup time is slow. You have option to leave connected all the time but uses quite a bit more energy.
