Solution for those without a smart TV.

The Sony was highly rated and has lived up to those ratings. The wireless connection was extremely simple and the player quickly downloaded an available software update after one hiccup. It streams video and plays both blue ray and standard DVDs with clear, crisp video and audio.

AWESOME FOR THE PRICE.

I HAVE IT SET UP WITH A ONKYO RECEIVER AND A PAIR OF KLIPSH TOWER SPEAKERS AND IT SOUNDS VERY GOOD. PICTURE IS GOOD WITH STANDARD DVD" S AND VERY NICE AND SHARP WITH BLU RAY. ONLY NEGATIVE IS IT KIND OF SMALL AND DOES NOT MATCH THE WIDTH OF MY OTHER COMPONENTS.

Ok blu Ray player for the money

We upgraded to this after quite an older first generation hardwired smart player. The internet we have is horrendously bad and this player was quite a bit faster for us than the old one even with bad internet. Only complaint is the startup time is slow. You have option to leave connected all the time but uses quite a bit more energy.
