Awesome Blu-ray player it so easy to use. Go for it

So easy that a grandpa and a 3 year old can use it!

after 30 days of light use it stopped working properly, has no signal output, and will not eject the disc tray, Having followed the troubleshooting steps and attempted several times to hard reset it, it still remains in an unusable state. It is a great paper weight... I recommend that anyone looking at this product look elsewhere for a good blu-ray player, because this is definitely not good.

I have had little issue with the DVD/Bluray player. I didn't not review it online before hand - was trying to decide between this and a roku, but also needed a bluray player, so thought it would be the best of both worlds. It is good minus a long delay in it turning on, as well as getting the apps or the DVD to launch. Also, you can't open the DVD part of it to get out the disc while you are in one of the apps. Because I bought a lower model, the lag time makes sense, but overall it is what I was looking for.

It's plays Blue rays excellent, I love the concept of having both playing blue rays and streaming some of my favorite app, like Hulu, vudo and others. The only thing is that it streams slow, when you select the app you want to watch it takes a while to load.

I like having the audio output, USB port and wifi.

I purchased this player mainly for my in-laws so I didn't want to spend too much on it. I like the fact that it has a usb to play movies off a flash drive. Overall it's not too bad for the price, however the UI can be smoother in addition it takes a while for the content to load from the usb but then again it's a 2 tb.

This is a great blue ray player and very easy to use.

I can play both dvd's and blu-rays just great! but when it comes to the apps..... NETFLIX works good but once in a while the sound "skipps" but I can live with that. ( love NETFLIX!) However the apps for VUDU and TUBI are HORRIBLE for playing any movies. The loading time is awful and both will play only a part of the movie then will spin like forever then the movie will continue except that VUDU movies will start over from the beginning not from where you left off. I also use The Weather channel but the other apps I'm not interested in and quite frankly don't like them.

Great value for the price and easy to set up and use

I like SONY products. This player easy to set up, but disappointed that it does not support Amazon video. Limited on apps supported. But if you don't need Amazon, this may be a good choice.

2 months into this purchase and it stopped working. Stuck on the Blu Ray logo on tv and will not turn off or eject. Player does not respond to anything. This is with minimum usage. I may have used it twice because this is on a secondary tv.

This BD player is slow to start and slow to recognize a disk. Aren't those little electrons supposed to move at the speed of light? I had a hard time getting the Sony to send audio to a Yamaha sound bar. A chat session with a Geek was completely worthless; it told me to take the unit to a store and they would fix it. A Geek at the store told me to change in audio input settings, and that didn't work. I had to puzzle it out myself. Otherwise, the unit works as advertised. I haven't tested the streaming features; I've had enough puzzles for this week.
