He has a high speed cable modem, router, and Internet provider, plus has a much older DVD player. He said the older player did a better job of streaming than this newer Blu-ray player. As his router is right next to the player, I suggested he connect via a cable rather than via Wi-Fi. He did so and reported that it is an improvement, but still not as good as his 12 year old DVD player.
