I like seeing what track I'm on or if there is a disc inside. I mean this works and the Internet connectivity is welcome and reliable, but I think this is a step too far getting rid of any kind of status display for Blu-Ray/DVD players.

We purchased our first one August 2018 and it locked up just a little over a month later. I had called in once before with this problem and tech support had me do a reset and it was fine for a week, then locked up again. It was a hassle getting a hold of Sony and they had no record of calling in before and didn't want to fix it under warranty. I sent a long email to someone at Sony and eventually they were going to take care of it, but by that time I had gone back to Best Buy and they were able to take it back and give me another one. Now, a year later, it is doing the same thing. Buyer beware.

Had to unplug, replug and pry. Best Buy would NOT take it back as a return since they only have a 2 week window. Lesson learned; buy from Amazon so I can return broken products and NO MORE SONY...

But the replacement has issues (sound skips). I'm very disappointed - I was expecting better given the positive reviews. I'm ready to buy a different brand and not buy Sony again.
