I have not been able to keep this thing working. I had it connected to my wifi and was able to get on Amazon and Netflix. However, the next time I turned it on, it said it was not connected and to check the internet settings but all I can get on the home screen is a bevy of apps and I cannot get into any one of them and no where on this screen is there a way to get to settings. I have wasted quite a bit of money for something that is definitely not user friendly!

Sold me a blu ray player that didn't play blu rays, open box items should probably be checked by someone to make sure they work. Not to mention they didn't give me a remote during the curbside pick-up so had to go inside and wait in line for the remote and then wait in line the next day to return it. Fun.

Its junk. I took it back. It quite working after just a short while.

It does ok on blue ray but doesnt play half my dvds i threw it out put my panasonic back in thats 6 years old

Do not but this blu ray player, it’s garbage, When something is on sale or reduced price it’s for a reason. This unit causes the lightning to increase and decrease unexpectedly, at first I thought it was the disc so I just waited and tried a few more over a few months but it’s still not working and I waited to long to return it so I’ll just throw it away and next time be more diligent.

January 2019, purchase 6 months ago, just threw out the box...now it doesn’t work, or works for about 1/2 a movie and then shuts off.

I bought a Sony BD-1700, BD-3700 and a BD- 5700, they all clamped the output so that it was slow and went in and out while streaming.

Never worked properly. DVD Eject button intermittent; 1/20 function. Power button intermittent; 1/10 function. Pushing video content to HDMI port frequently crashed (disapeared). Could not recognize DVD media when inserted. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Plus no return after 2 weeks?!! AVOID THIS PRODUCT!!

The player works great, when it's working, but I'm taking the third one back this evening for power and/or remote functionality issues.

Unit locks up regularly while watching apps. Requires reboot which erases WiFi log on details. Sony help was worthless. They finally said the product doesn’t support WiFi. Really? Started this at 3 weeks old so I can’t return it. Save your money and get a different brand. Also no apps for the movie channels. Sony: please don’t thank me for my review that would be worthless like your blu Ray player.

Did a curb side pickup today. I get home and find there is no remote control. This can’t even be used. I tried calling the store and I get someplace in Georgia! I find the store is not accepting calls and was told best just drive back. I’m 20 minutes one way! Last time I ordered something I didn’t get a plug! Terrible service

I bought this because I wanted wireless connectivity. This model struggles with connection. Powering it up takes several minutes.

This player is virtually useless. Hard to connect to networks -Bad interface on the part of Sony. No way to connect to Amazon nas other top three streaming services, i would expect the option to download a app, but NO not this paperweight. I wanted to step down from a older unit for size, but it was such a big step down in function. I returned the player.

I previously purchased a samsung wifi dvd player and it worked great, I decided to move it from the living room to a bedroom. I then purchased the sony DVD player and placed it in the living room. This DVD player is not as good as the samsung dvd player it is super slow when you turn it on it take a while to load. I would not recommend this item.

A solid this player at all costs. We purchased it around the holidays and it quit working after a couple months. We were only able to watch 3 movies on it before it broke. If you do your research you’ll see that many people complain about it being stuck on the Blu-Ray screen and can’t do anything about it. We contacted customer support and tried resetting the player and it didn’t work. Now we’re stuck with a paperweight.

This review is not about the player but about the purchase. I've never had a problem with Best Buy they're great. But I made the mistake of buying an open box item which arrived with no power adapter or remote control which are necessary in order to use this player. I just returned it to the store and got a new one, problem solved! Great customer service!

Sadly,this Blu ray player is very noisy & is hit & miss in terms of playback.Will be returning..Come on Sony some quality control would be nice.

This product advertises Hulu on the box but it's not an included app and there's no way to download new apps.

After about 2 months the built in Wi-Fi stopped working. As of now the dvd playing portion is working.

Bought this to replace old DVD player and eliminate need for Roku. I still have ROKU connected because this product sucks at streaming Hulu.
