    Speaker has great sound quality, very clear and loud for enclose backyard settings. Out on the open areas such as a beach or park volume doesn’t sound as loud but is still of great quality.

    So far its been a great speaker sounds great, battery life is great and looks great. Only thing I dont like is that it has a door where the charger port is and have to keep it open when charging or using plug in ports.

    I passed on the XG500. The times it were on sale, it became tempting. But I had a hunch a successor would come around. Enter the ULT Field 7. Same msrp as the predecessor, but newer. Definitely worthy of its price bracket. ULT levels change the dynamics of the low end. That’s the notable feature. Lighting accents on the side return. The handle is built into ends of the unit for portability; though it does have a bit of weight. Battery life is solid depending on usage. Sony has created a solid offering. Definitely check out if your interested.

    Very solid built with good quality sound. What can be improved (in order of importance): solid mesh covers over sub-woofers to avoid potential accidental damage; cover/carry-on case for ease of transport and also to avoid accidental damage; and remote control for ease of operation that can be issued as a substitute for your smart phone; If pts 1 & 2 were taken care of the rating would be 5 of 5.
