Although The A7s has poor battery life this little extra give me double the life. Obviously it's because 2 batteries last longer than 1. I like that it adds a little weight to the camera as well.

Posted .Hi Dava, this vertical grip is for the Sony A7, A7S and A7R cameras. For the 2nd generation alpha 7 series, you could use the VGC2EM. Thanks_Mitch
