I really love the vertical grips for Sony cameras—especially if you use long lenses. It helps counterbalance the weight. The buttons are fully available and make it easy to switch orientations without contorting yourself into a pretzel to get them. Having two batteries available extends shooting time, which is awesome. It does add weight and it is fairly expensive (like most Sony gear), but worth the expense for long lens shooters.
