This grip really helps you FEEL you are holding the camera with control and assurance it will not fall from your hands. Also gives the impression that the camera weights less, although is obviously not. For me this is a must have accesory

A Must For A7II/A7RII/A7SII Owners
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was concerned at first that I wasn't going to like the additional size this added but coming from a full framed Canon DSLR platform to the Sony Alpha Platform (specifically the A7II & A7RII) but love the setup now. I have no regrets. I think the only drawback (grasping at straws) is that you cannot charge the batteries when in the grip through a charging cable but instead have to take them out and charge individually. This is not a deal breaker for me but something worth noting if you are expecting this functionality. As far as performance is concerned, I don't have any crazy battery settings (only image review turned off) and I have taken ~1700 photographs w/ 22% still left over throughout a day of use. This is more than acceptable as far as I am concerned. For anyone looking to use the Sony Alpha platform in any professional capacity, I would strongly recommend picking one of these up.
