I PURCHASED THE WALKMAN AFTER MANY DUMB DECISIONS OF TRYING TO SAVE A BUCK . I WOULD HAVE SAVED ALOT MORE MONEY IF I HAD JUST PURCHASED THE WALKMAN TO BEGIN WITH. THE UNIT HAS SUPERIOR SOUND AND VERY EASY TO USE . IT TOOK LESS THAN 10 MIN'S TO HAVE MUSIC AND PICTURES DOWNLOADED AND LISTENING TOO MUSIC.THE FM RECEPTION IS GREAT WHEN OUTDOORS , NOT TOO GOOD DEPENDING WHERE YOU ARE LOCATED IN A BULDING. ALSO NO AM , BUT WHAT THE HAY AM IS ON ITS WAY OUT THE DOOR . , BUT I DO MISS THE TALK SHOWS.

I just purchased this for my 9 year old son as his first MP3 Player and I'm so glad I did. The Sony E-Series 4GB is a sturdy player, with good sound, nice visable screen, and it's so easy to load the music. I already have an iPod Nano and I'm thinking about getting this as a back up MP3 player. I recommend this purchase to anyone!

I got one of these for Christmas a couple of years ago, and it's really a great little MP3 player. I love bass, and this little thing pumps it out pretty well. It doesn't lag while searching through songs like my other MP3s, it's easy to look for a song, and the little extras that are on this MP3 are okay, but pretty generic. I love how big it is (which isn't at all) and it's great sitting in a pocket or in your backpack. The hold switch won't be switched back and if you keep that on it won't turn on. My only thing is that it's quite fragile. I do a lot of walking and sometimes drop the things I'm carrying. After just one drop, the top corner broke off. After another, the screen got a huge crack right in the middle and it has been going down hill ever since. I would HIGHLY suggest you get the screen cover and case for it. But besides that, I absolutely love this thing and will defiantly be getting a new one when my screen finally dies!

This is our second Sony walkman mp3 player. I bought one earlier this year after my 5 year old Zune broke (because really, who has a spare $300 laying around these days?) and after liking mine so well, we came back to Sony for my daughter. We love these players. They are easy to use and keep a good battery life. I even have the car adapter to take it on the road with me. The only thing I wish Sony would do is release a 32gb...that's what my Zune was and I loved the extra room. But, as I said, this is for my daughter and 4GB is more than enough for an 8 year old.

I like this MP3 player. It is easy to use and has great sound. I bought another one for a gift. I highly recommend it. I have had other kinds (I pod) and this one is right up there with it !!

I bought this for my 11 year old son for christmas and he absolutely loves it! He loves to put all his favorite songs on it and it's easy to put the music on. He also likes the fm radio! I would recommend this for all his friends.

Excellent value for small $$.. Durable - dropping it on a tile floor didn't harm it. But the sync process is really kludgy, and if it's in your pocket, bending over can change the song or turn it off.

Great buy for the money invested. I bought it for my teenage daughter, and with all the ipods out there she was very pleased with it. We are very pleased with the options it does have, and considering that i already own a few ipods myself, it's a great value. And surprised how easy it was to convert all the itunes music to the mp3. I'm not a techy kind of person, so with that, I still haven;t figured out how to download vidoes into it.

Bought it for my grandson and he loves it! It was easy to transfer and install music on it. It has great sound and he really likes the look.

I have not had any problems with this MP3 player. It works very well. At first I didnt understand how to download songs but I got it. Its very easy to setup.

I bought this for my 13 yr. old daughter, and she really likes it very much.....and I like it too! Good product for the price (IMHO :-) !!!

I took the first 2 back. Then when my senior moment passed and I loaded the software that came with it, no more problems. Sorry Walkkman.

This was purchased for a 12 year old. He loves it!

I am so sad that this player, even though it states it on the box, does not support WMA audiobook files, which is about the only thing I use an MP3player for. My husband has one for music and it seems great so, if all you want is music, it is fine but do not expect to be able to download audiobooks and have them work.

I loved it, but it completely died 7 months after I bought it. I tried every troubleshooting step listed on Sony's website with no luck.
