I researched many other brands before purchasing this Sony Player. I settled on this one because I have been very pleased with the other Sony products I own, always very reliable.
Battery life is awesome!
Sound quality is great! It has an equalizer as well as bass boost. The supplied headphones sound terrific! Software has been easy to use.
As mentioned in another review, there is no FM tuner, or Bluetooth. I knew this prior to purchase, I didn't want those features. So that is not a problem for me.
I have not utilized the video/photo features yet.
I have been extremely happy with my Sony Walkman Player so far!
It seems accessories are limited but I will keep looking :)
I also love that it was available in PINK :)
I purchased a BLACK unit for my husband the same day and he has been enjoying his as well!
Compared to other brands Sony is a little more costly but I gladly pay more for a quality product. Check other brands and look at all of the refurbished models available out there - that should tell you something.
BestBuy customer service was great!

This would be a great mp3 player for videos and picture, but mediocre for music. The screen size and quality are great. It feels sleek and smooth in your hand, very light. You can search for music by artist, album, or song. You can also shuffle by year which might be fun.
I like to have a voice recorder, FM radio, bluetooth, and be able to input txt files. This device doesn't do any of that. There just aren't a lot of options. You can't create a playlist right on the device which I find pesky.
Overall nice, but more about exterior than functions.

I bought this a few months ago and I'm back to buy another one as a gift. I'm very happy with this MP3 player. The software was very easy to install, the sound is awesome, the search options are great (songs, artist, genre, ect), great battery life.

This is my 1st MP3 player and I belong to the "Over 50" gang... I was eager to get home and find out how dumb I was! I was totally amazed at how easy it was to load the software and begin loading music. I bought it on a Friday and by Sat. I had a whole bunch of music on it. Same for pics, very easy to load. I haven't tried video yet, but must say - I'm very happy with my choice and purchase!

After spending weeks researching MP3 players, I finally decided on this one. Huge mistake. The software kept loading incorrectly, but I finally got it loaded after about 10 hours, only to have to uninstall and reinstall it three times (wasting five more hours) trying to get the player to sync. Sony support was useless. The player never even played. I wasted 20 or more hours trying to get the thing to work only to finally return it and replace it with a Zune. I've had quite a few Sony products in the past and have never had this kind of trouble with one.
