This player would have 5 stars, but I cannot get over the bluetooth capabilities. I have apple powerbeats pro. And when I pair them with this walkman the range is very short making it very difficult to move around, especially at the gym. However, if you keep the player in your pocket the sound is very clear and big.

Great music players but the only negative thing about this player is the charge/data port. Its not your typical USB port. So if you lose the cable that comes with the player, you're gonna be in trouble.

This is a fair device, with three vexing flaws. First the good though. It is pretty solidly built, it plays about any format you throw at it, it works well with a 512 gig sd card, and the bluetooth LDAC and AptxHD sound better than Apple’s implementation of AAC. Three vexing annoyances though that, for me at least, make this a no buy and unless they are addressed, this will be my final foray into the Sony ecosystem. First, I have this paired with the WH-1000M3 headphones. After boot up of both devices, you’d think a sony to sony handshake would occur. Nope. Every. Single. Time. I turn them on, I have to drill into the setting menu to pair. C’mon. This is basic. Sony should seamlessly connect to sony. Apple has this figured out. Garmin has this figured out. I could go on. Vexing. Second, everyone knows about the charging cable. Vexing. Annoying. Antiquated. Third, I live in AK and the battery in this thing is abysmal, at least up here. If the temp drops below 32F/0C you might get 4 hours if you are lucky. Vexing. So, while it is nice to free your music from your ios device, the annoyances weigh this thing down, at least for me. I, for one, will be leaving the sony ecosystem.

Awesome music player. I love its unique, metallic look, and the sound on this player is absolutely phenomenal, when tweaking with the settings for some time. Album art looks great on my touch screen as well.

Highly recommended. Sound is excellent. Interface is quirky, but intuitive when learned. Bluetooth pairing can be fussy, it's still not linked to my samsung s9. Glad to have a 21st century walkman!

This works well wired or bluetooth. Hold plenty of songs but can also be expanded by using a SD card! Easy to use and organize all your songs.

Excellent MP 3 player. I bought this one to replace an older walkman that I've literally worn out over the past several years. Great sound, easy operation.

Did not want to continue carrying an I phone to listen to tunes while walking . This lighter weight player is a good option. A good product.

Love the sound of my walkman. Easy to set up and I love using it at the gym. The moonlight blue is a fun color.

This was a gift for my dad to use while riding his motorcycle. It's straight forward to use and pocket sized for convenience. Huge hit with this walkman!

A great MP3 player with quality sound, compact with a sturdy construction. It’s great to have a dedicated music player with physical buttons to simply press when on the go. Only draw back is the battery life is seemingly much shorter than what is advertised

Sounds great! The best MP3 player now that apple no longer makes ipods. Easy learning curve and works very well.

I was looking for a quality music player to replace an old iPod, something not bulky that I can use for running. Very easy to upload music, no proprietary software. Overall a great purchase!

I love it. I Loaded the software on my computer and proceeded to rip a bunch of CDs. I then transferred the CD files to the Walkman , a very easy operation. And the quality is outstanding, I am a audiophile. So I'm pretty picky about what listen to.

I have always preferred having my music separate from my other media and this mp3 player is great. Its kind of pricy for what it is since a ipod is only a few dollars more, but the footprint for this device is so much smaller. I wish it had a external remote like some of the older Sony Walkman's, but no complaints here. I also own the A45 version, nothing is noticeably different except side buttons.

Just bought some new earbuds. My old ones didn't do much for the sound. Much improved with my KZ ZS10 Pro earbuds. Now my walkman A55 sounds much better.

First I must say, I love Sony products. I have an older version Sony Walkman and I wanted a newer version with Bluetooth. The Sony A-55 did not disappoint. I bought this to connect to my main stereo system, so I have access to all the music and playlists that I create on this unit. The sound quality is excellent and this unit is exactly what I expected.
