....Bose Soundsport free is that deal. But all Jay Z references aside, I had been using Bose Soundsports and subsequent Soundsport Frees for the last 3 years and I decided to switch it up for my next pair of wireless Bluetooth earbuds. In comes the Sony - WF1000X joints. They look pretty cool, not as bulky as the Bose which I had grown accustomed too. They stay firmly in my ear and seem sturdy enough.. The carrying/recharge case is decent, I can tell with how it opens that the life of that hinge will test my Geek Squad Protection plan way before the buds themselves. The Battery life is only about 3 hours which is very disappointing (My Soundsports usually last about 5 - 6 before needing to be recharged in the case) The Sony's recharge relatively fast but that really puts a damper on my podcast listening experience for a couple of minutes. The Noise canceling is meh, Not really something I look for in earbuds at this point in time. Sound Quality is decent, nice rich bass (Sony does bass right). They don't get particularly loud, but who needs to blow out their eardrums. The preset equalizer that comes in the app helps you find something that you might based on your listening preferences.... ....But oh brother that app stinks. It's not the worst app...but when I close the app on my phone I lose signal to my headphones and either have to power my buds off or go into my iPhone settings to reconnect them to the Bluetooth. Maybe it's just this pair as it is my second pair (Returned the Champagne colorway) and I didn't have any connectivity issues with the first pair that I purchased. But regardless it was frustrating to the point where I decided to return them and get a new pair of Bose Soundsport Frees, they just sound better in my opinion. If it ain't broke, don't fix it......2 stars.

These are nice headphones. They are a little bigger than I hoped for when shopping for true wireless, but the noise cancellation makes up for that. The sound is great and they fit comfortably in my ears. I’ve not had any problems with them falling out. Some reviews have complained about the bulky case, but I prefer its design to the round cases. It fits in my pocket fine. The noise cancellation isn’t as good as over the ear headphones, but it’s still amazing to have in these little buds. Depending on what matters most to you in a pair of headphones, these are the best at what they do.

I own Sony W1000X which are pretty good. I also own Beats put out great sound quality for when I’m at the gym, out running & Bluetooth. The Bluetooth works great. It’s clear on both ends of the conversation. I personally was hesitant on not having ear hooks; however they’re comfortable & secure. Overall, I’d recommend these to anyone who enjoys music, active lifestyle, wants hands free. Also, I highly recommend downloading the app to adjust levels, sound options.

Blue tooth connectivity is unreliable even while stationary. I will try some suggested troubleshooting options if I'm not successful I'll return. Sound quality and noise cancelling is okay but not as good as the Bose quiet comfort

Do not take my review for granted, this are excellent pair of headphones; wonderful noise cancelling and the app works perfect for ambient sound, but for some unknown reason there was a lag on audio for video.

The sound is great but I have to keep my phone very close to the left earbud or the sound will cut out. If I'm running outside and my phone is in my right pocket, the sound will cut out every few seconds. It's terrible. However, I discovered that if I keep the phone in a velcro strap on my left arm, the sound will maybe cut out only once or twice per run. I was disappointed this was an issue because I already returned some wireless Bose earbuds for the same problem.

If you are looking for loud headphones, these do not get very loud. The wireless capability goes in and out at times and sometimes only one ear plays, which is annoying, but the quality is good. Typical Sony sound quality, headphones app on ios/android allows for EQ adjustments, but flat seems to sound better than adjusting anything. Charging case is plastic, wish it was rubber lined at least. Earbud tips are too big and not as nice as bose.

This has been some of the best overall sound I have gotten from true wireless ear buds. the sound cancelling is great (easy to toggle on and off). the only downside is the battery life which is somewhat shorter overall thank others. the base station will only charge the buds twice before needing recharging itself. Still would recommend if you can handle buds that last only about 2 hours on a charge.....

Really liked these buds, comfortable, nice full sound. I wanted to keep them, but had connectivity problems. I know that true wireless can have some issues with drop outs, but these were not acceptable, especially in a crowd. After exchanging once, without improvement, I traded up to Sennheiser trues. Pricey but very, very happy now!!!

Ear buds are comfortable and they stay put in your ear. The Bluetooth on the other hand is not very good. Kept losing connection so I returned them and purchased the Samsung ICON X 2018.

Sony makes the best products for the most part, but somehow missed the mark with these as compared to others out there. The noise reduction is good, the sound quality is good, but they are quite uncomfortable after a short while, the charge time (in ear) is only 3 hours, and my main complaint is the fact that you don't have volume adjustment except through your connected device...

These ear buds have great all around sound and are for regular music listening. I have used while working out and they do move around in the ear. While doing a workout (Cardio/circuit) you can hear the movement within the ear. The connect to my iPhone well but occasional bluetooth connection lost. All around I like the ear buds. No major complaints.

Typical Battery life for truly wireless earbuds

Reading other reviews regarding battery life. Truly wireless earbuds do not have great battery life. Typically 3-4 hours. If you want battery life , get a Bluetooth model with neckband or wire. I have tried almost every model/brand of wireless earbuds. NONE are the complete package. Noise canceling is ok. Definitely not up to par vs over the ear models. Once you find the correct fitting ear tips. Sound isolating +noise canceling work pretty good. Music definitely sounds responsive while wearing.....even while mowing the lawn. I work in data centers with noise fan driven noise. Making phone calls is important to me. These DO NOT have a good mic with noise canceling. If your wanting a good mic, Jabra 65Es are the best for calls. However they suck for pretty much everything else IE noise canceling.
