These are seriously some of the best noise canceling headphones that you can buy. In my opinion, they are the best the only thing that I don’t like is that they are made out of eco-friendly material which I do like, but I feel that they could’ve spent more time developing a more premium feel at this price point, and still be eco-friendly. The box is eco-friendly and recyclable that it comes in, and the case that it comes in is made of cloth. It comes with a companion app that allows you to change all of the EQ settings, which is very important for listening to different types of music. It lasts long. Sometimes I don’t have to charge it for a full week and I get a lot of active use out of it it’s decent for phone calls, but better for listening to music without other people hearing what you listen to. I highly recommend these and the former version the 1000 XM4. The noise cancellation on these are as phenomenal as it gets.

The Perfect Headphones for Business and Travel

I've been using these Sony WH-100XM5 headphones for about a month now, and I'm absolutely blown away. They're the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn, and the noise cancellation is fantastic. The sound quality is also top-notch. The bass is deep and rich, and the highs are crisp and clear. I've listened to all sorts of music with these headphones, and I've never been disappointed. The headphones are very portable, which is great. I've traveled with them on airplanes and they're great. Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with these. They're the best headphones I've ever owned, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great pair of noise-cancelling headphones. Bonus: These headphones inspired me to start my own entertainment business. I use a logo on headphones with an aux cable plugged into them in my company's logo. The headphones represent the power of music to inspire and connect people. I'm so grateful to Sony for creating such an amazing product.

I’m in love with these headphones. The sound quality is amazing. Battery is enough for ~30h. They are so comfy and worth the price. If you forget to turn them off - the battery will go down of course but it took them almost 2days to be out of charge just working w/o connecting to phone.

Absolutely best wireless/noise-canceling headphones you can get on the market! The sound quality and EQ features are pristine with great bass, most effective for office or home use, but definitely great for commuting, too. Fit is great and very lightweight. Compact and easy to travel with. I definitely recommend!

I love my Sony headphones. Excellent for when I’m in the gym and on the go or if I’m in a private place that I just need to hear the conversation that I’m on the house about the noise that is going on around me and I can focus on the phone call and then when I’m in the gym, I can hear the music loud and clear. I just love them. This is my second pair of the first pair I sat on them and I broke them so I immediately had to get me a new pair and I love them.

Quality of the headphones is amazing. The material used for the cushions is super soft and premium. The equalizer is amazing, though I like the out the box sound to have a very balanced sound. Battery life has been great so far. I wish there was a little bit more customization in the app for non Spotify users.

These Sony headphones are the absolute best purchase I could have made! The sound cancellation on these are absolutely supreme, along with the Ambient mode it works wonders no matter where I bring them they fit perfectly. The battery life is beyond AMAZING charges in minutes and stays alive for hours.

I’ve had for a few months now and this is my first over the ear headset and definitely met my expectations. Sound quality is great, battery lasts and charges quickly, lightweight, and my favorite part is that ambient noise does not get through when I’m on calls which makes it a game changer at the office or if I’m ok calls at coffee shops!

Best Ever
These headphones are amazing. I use them every day and the battery lasts forever. I was debating between these and the Airpod max’s and these are so much better sound quality, comfortability and so much better for the price. They also coke with a case, unlike the Airpods. HIGHLY recommend

I saw these headphones at a retail store at the airport and I tried them on and the airport got super quiet! I was like woe these are so cool! I played some music on them and the sound was crystal clear. I was so impressed I ended up buying some. They are so comfortable and look great. I use them around the house and when I work out. They are also great for travel especially while on flights the noise cancellation is awesome, plus great for watching movies and listening to music. I definitely recommend.

Worth it in every way

For $400, here is why the XM5 headphones are worth it in every way (in my opinion). First, the Noise Cancelling is VERY good. At the gym, (which yes I sweat in these and I havent had an issue yet) everything around me is completely tuned out. Or, if I am there with my friends, I turn on Ambient Noise so I can jam to my music but still hear them talk (coolest feature I wanted). At first, I thought the app was going to be annoying, I just wanted to connect them to bluetooth, but I found the app’s customizable sound options can completely level up the way you listen to music. These are also super comfortable, and you can almost forget youre wearing them on your head. All of these features make these headphones well worth the $400, and I saved myself $150 chosing these over the Airpod Max which has the same features.

"So yes, the rumors are true. We do have in our mist a User" Sony has been a very solid performer and overall top seller of headphones. While others have done this or that better ...the Sony headphones seem to gain the top spot of sales more times than not. This release from Sony, the XM5, gives the user a completely different look with stronger ANC and better sound quality. You can count on on very good imaging for bluetooth devices, good separation, and more balance tones across the mids and bass. But the underated surprise is the dominance of phone call quality. Sony is now the leader in headphone voice quality on phone calls, yes better than the Airpods Max. When you add the fact that they don't care about what kind of phone you use to take advantage of them, the battery life, and the multiple device connection ...you clearly see why Sony is once again the King. The only spot of concern is the lack of space inside the earcups. I think they could have done a better job with the spacing. Even more than before you ears are resting on the driver pad, which could be a deal breaker for some. I've just accepted this and moved on and now it doesn't bother me anymore but it might bother you. Overall I still have to recommend this headphone.

What an amazing set of headphones

Loved the xm4 older model. I didnt think the xm5 would be much of a difference but it turned out to be the subtle diffrrence that made it worth the upgrade. I love Sonys' headphone app. It gives so much control over fine tuning my personal sound and noise cancelation. Something was weird today, the headphones started cutting out sound today and purposely going to aware mode with the noise cancelation. I read up a little on this and found it that it was caused by me talking. Once i setup google assistant on it whenever i talk with somewhat of a loud level it will cut off sound on purpose so i can listen and have a conversation. That to me is a golden feature which sony has included in their programming. Sound is 10/10 Comfort is 10/10 they are light enough to wear all day and not get those ear cuff rings around your head lol. App is 10/10 Overall, to me, Sony has been killing it in this price range of noise cancelling headphones.

At first I was skeptical if the price and quality were worth it. Now I classify this product as an INVESTMENT. The sound quality is amazing, the microphone is out of this world. It's light, and comfortable. Frankly, I'm kind of mad at myself for not buying this sooner !!

If you work from home get this headset

I went through at least 6 different headsets. Work from home in a very loud environment. All of them lacked something, either a good microphone that will block the background noise, battery life, not comfortable to wear, or a combination of them. And we have a clear winner. Perfect and smooth calls with no background noise heard for yourself or the person you are talking to (even with a screaming baby by your side) lightweight and comfortable to wear for hours, amazing carrying case, multi-device connectivity and voice control, the Sony headset app has ton of features that you can customize according to your needs, battery life is superb. Definitely worth your money.

Great sound and comfort

After debating between this, and the Bose knows counseling, I went with Sony. I read and compared a lot of tech reviews between both, and even listened through both in person. I will say the noise canceling on this pair for the most part drowns out most of the noise but unless I put the volume up, I can still hear, the gym music. I might have to play with the Settings more I just haven’t. I would say my main gripe with this is if you’re at the gym and you’re laying down or on the bench the headphones do not stay you kind of have to angle it almost on top of your head so it stays on. but I love hearing the music through the headphones. It does sound a little bit better than the Bose but that could just be me. They are really comfortable. I have a lot of ear piercings so comfort level is really important to me.

Good until they break within 2 years

At first, I've really LOVED these. They are not as noise canceling as Apple ones, but the weight and price were more suited for my needs. I have been so careful and protective of these, gently removing them and placing them back in their case or each use. I just barely hit 2 years of having them and when I removed pulled them from the case today, a piece of plastic popped into my lap and it's the part where one of the ear cups rotates and so basically they are not usuable. No seal, no ability to even align with the ear in a way that I could use them again. So sad.
