Great headphones

Earcups leather feels soft and comfy. Sounds are amazing but earcups a too shallow. It does not feel immersive so you will have to turn up the volume a little higher. Battery life is wonderful specially for long travel.

The sound cancellation on these are absolutely supreme, along with the Ambient mode it works wonders no matter where I bring them they fit perfectly. High Fidelity Headphones with one downside.

They are very comfortable but in warmer weather, they will make you feel a little suffocated. They aren't meant for the gym though, if you are laying down on a bench they will fall off your head because of the sweat, in this case earbuds are a better option. For casual walks, around the house, at a cafe, these are amazing. They have great sound quality and very nice bass. They aren't too bass heavy and the Sony app has a built in equalizer so you can customize if you want more bass, and customize your sound profile. The on headphones controls are also somewhat customizable. The left side of the headphones will control power, whether to turn ANC off and on or have pass through enabled. The left side you can control the volume up and down by swiping up and down the sides of the headphones. You can double tap the side to pause your media. Hover your hand over the right side to enable pass through and it lowers your media to hear your surrounding temporarily. There are many other features. The sound is amazing, the active noise cancellation is one of the best, the features are bountiful, the customer service is great, the only thing is it isn't meant for lots of sweat or working out.

Better than the XM4

These headphones are probably the best noise canceling from Sony. Better bass than the XM4s and battery life. I get at least 22-25 hours of battery life paired with the iPhone 12 for the past year shocking. I don’t even need to max the volume because the noise canceling does so well with its smart chip. I sleep with no issues with these on haha. I like the headphone app in which I could change the sound settings to my liking. I listen to a lot of genres and it sounds clean. Audiophiles rejoice!!

Great high end head phones

Only negatives are they do not fold down like the xm4s and xm6s and can get greasy quite easily

The build quality is excellent, and sounds amazing too. They are more comfortable than the wh-1000 xm4 and have better noise isolation. They still come with the cord with mic and extras for travel. I'd say they sound a little better but more improved is the comfort and battery life! The battery is significantly better. I'd recommend these especially at the sale price.

These Sony WH-1000xm5 headphones are pretty good at noise canceling especially when i pair them to Alienware M16 R1. Volume is great, design is modern, battery is very good, and connectivity great due to the fact that incan connect via headphone jack. Its got great audio quality for music and video games. The carrying pack is also simple and nice.

I watched a lot of videos and reviews on these headphones prior to purchasing so it was between Apple and Sony. I chose the Sony XM5s because I thought they felt more comfortable, their noise canceling is top notch and the sound quality seems more natural to me than Apple’s, this is purely subjective of course. Your mileage may vary. Build quality is pretty sturdy and I love the case as sometimes I have to to travel. Battery life is also pretty amazing as well, they claim it’s 30 hours and it just might be, haven’t done any actual test of my own. I love the Sony app for this as the amount of customization kind of sealed the deal for me as well. They can only get even better from here.

I’ve used them for over a month now and have to say I’ve honestly never had headphones that are so comfortable and fit so well. They’re my first pair of expensive over the ear headphones, so I was worried they would squeeze my head tight, but I’ve even fallen asleep with them and felt fine! I’ve worn them for hours on end, the battery does last a while even when not fully charged. The app for the headphones could be a little bit more user friendly and have a few bugs worked out, but it’s still easy enough to use. Pairing is simple, it even paired to the Bluetooth on my television. These are also my first noise cancelling headphones, and it’s really nice! It even worked well for me when I was sewing on my sewing machine and my partner was playing video games next to me. The music on a low volume was still enough to completely drown out everything too.

The sound is great quality and the noise cancelation works great they dont fold but the swivel motion avaliable to "flip up or down" the headphones. The battery life is exceptional unless i blatantly leave them on hy accident i always have about 60% even with continuous prolonged use. (Airport overnight)

To help with that wind noise, we recommend opening the Sony | Sound Connect app and checking the Ambient Sound Control settings. You can find a specific "Automatic Wind Noise Reduction" toggle there that is designed to detect and suppress exactly what you’re hearing.

I was debating between the Apple, beats, and Sony but after trying them all out, these were superior. The noise cancelling is amazing. I love the clean look and color. They are so comfortable and adjustable to different head sizes. Comfortable for lifting and running. They do fall off when I work out abs or do push ups though. They don’t fold smaller for storage but the hard case is so pretty and protects them fine. Battery lasts soooooo long!
