What can I say… m listening to music a lot more tha. I did in the past 10 years. I’m rediscovering music,!finding new artist, listening for hours and actually look forward to using the everyday. My AirPods are currently collecting dust. My only minor critique is about the material. It’s a print magnet. Ts hard to keeping looking fresh. And a suggestion we need tracking, native tracking when headphone are actually powered down. They are a must thou.

Used these headphones for a couple of trips and the quality of noise blocking the airplane engines is incredible. I’ve had several other name brands in the past and took a leap towards Sony and I’m very pleased that I did.

Love these! Had Bose Ultras. For me, these are more canceling. And the silver blends with my Michael McDonald-esque hair. Took a picture of how they fit into the case for reference. :-)

Second pair. The case is amazingly frustrating to fit the headphones back into after a long flight. I accidentally left the case on a plane and couldn’t find a second one for cheap so I ordered a replacement case which was huge that is why I got a second pair. Noise cancelling is not as good as Bose but the sound is better. It doesn’t have the fake Bose bass boost. I’m starting to get some cracking from the left side. I can’t tell if it the headphones or the interface. Sometimes it mutes without a reason could be iOS tho their latest updates are junk

Good design, light, impressive sound. So far its very durable. Best Buy is the way to go.

The sound is so clear and good, when I have it in noise cancellation I can’t even hear my own voice. These headphones are worth every penny.

Without a doubt the best headphones I've tried, the noise cancellation is excellent.

For solely sound quality I’ll give 5 but the reduced rating is for the questionable build partly due to the hinge allowing rotation for folding in case. The Bose UC would probably have been a better choice only for this reason. The other reason would be the depth of the ear cushions. I find my ears touching the inner membrane. I replaced with Wicked Cushions but that didn’t solve the problem fully.

I am an apple glazer and I own the airpod maxes and I can’t even begin to talk about how amazing these headphones are, the noise cancellation IS NO JOKE!! Incredible job sony.

Sony headphones are year after year listed as the best or among the best headphones you can buy. The WH-1000XM6 is the latest in the family of excellent sounding and comfortable headphones from Sony. Granted, when the previous generations of 1000XM series was/is so good. What could be done to make the XM6 better? Me & Fit/Comfort: Older manly adult with beard and larger head and I occasionally use readers when the text is tiny. Hours of use and walking around, the XM6 are light and clamp slightly tight, that may loosen a bit over time, but very comfortable for hours of use. My ears do not touch anything inside the cups, but do get warm and east coast summer could be an issue if used outdoors. Indoor comfort temps are not an issue yet. These stay put while moving and doing tasks and do not need constant adjustments to stay put. They are far lighter than any other premium over ear I have used in the past. Clean Uncluttered Style: I have the blue XM6's and they look better to me over the 2 other more common colors. Left cup has an easy to find raised button for noise cancellation level (additional presses give more functions). Even the power button is large and easy to find, quick press gives battery level. Then you have the dead simple finger swipes for volume and track progression (touch is right ear cup only). Taps are to pause or take/reject calls, tap + long press for assistant. There are also head gestures for a few functions, but this my be troublesome for those who move a lot while listening. Then there is the case, NO ZIPPER to break. The magnetic clasp seems like a better way to keep the headphones and a few cables housed. Time will tell, but its very nice and secure right now. Just getting the headphones origami correct to put them back in the case is still a work in progress for me, case is labeled L and R. The headband has to be fully compressed first, then folded. Yup, folding is back! Sound and App: They sound great and better if you have a little patience with the app. Out of the box they are good, but if you dive into the plethora of options and settings in the Sony Sound Connect app. You will be able to use some Ai help to find your best sounding equalizer. Or just tap through a few very decent sound profiles from master audio engineers Sony worked with for the sound closest to your music choices. I went with the Ai and it was very close to what I used the 10 band equalizer for. Just know when these are setup, you will be rewarded with a excellent sound cocoon that can block out most of your environment...If you choose to. ANC: ANC can be on/off or any level of transparent you might want. I was always fine with on or off, but I know many may need to allow some external audio in. ANC at max is very good. The clamp level/force of the headphones lets very little in and at minimal volume levels, the outside stays out. (My beard and if I wear glasses do not give the best ear cup seal.) I only played briefly with the Ambient Sound Control. It works well if you need to still hear what is happening around you. I just prefer to only hear the headphones. I will say that the Auto Adaptive Sound Control maybe did not work well for me. Kept hearing tones as it switched modes while I moved around my house. There might be further adjustments to get that feature to work better. For now, that feature is off. Extras: The app has a lot of additional options that could be very useful to others, but I do not have a use or need for some of them yet. The listening mode feature adds some decent DSP of Background Mode and Cinema. It just felt like the music or audio was too far removed for me. Certain devices might make this feature more useful in the future. Speak to chat is also a nice feature, but not if you tend to sing or hum along as you listen. Better to have a feature and not need it, than not have it at all. Final feature that is limited for me. Spatial Sound and Head Tracking. I would love for this to be everywhere, but it is like VR or 3D. Extremely cool, but very limited use and the XM6 does not up-mix your audio to 360. There are 4 apps to install for use with the feature if you want to try it. I do not have any gripes in the week of use, other than a couple features were not adding to my use or needs. Audio in LDAC is sounding great and without a hiccup so far. Battery life is more than enough, plus they charge quickly if I need a bit more. They are now a bit more of a splurge. Guess nicer things in the world are that way now.

Headphones fit well and the app makes it easy to use.

It's not comfortable, the top of my head would eventually hurt after minutes of wearing it (I tried adjusting it several times). Not really amuse w/ the ANC, I could still hear the people talking at the back of my seat while I'm on the plane. Idunno, it's my first ANC headset, I like the noice cancelling of my airpods pro better. I love the design and the casing of it tho. For the price? It's not worth it, I think.

I don’t think the sound quality it there! My $350 BEATS sounded better! The Auto Noise Cancellation is great though! I played with the app and eq settings and could not get them sounding that great! Especially for $454! Maybe they will sound better with higher quality codecs but I’m happy with my music streaming service so.,,

I have had the last 3 generations of the Sony XM headphones by far the most durable. I really like the flexible head band and the new magnetic case. Very good battery and doesn’t lack in sound quality. Would like then to stay on my head when I’m active though.
