I use these Sony headphones every time I fly. Either listening to music or watching a movie, they are awesome. I liked them so much I bought my wife a pair also. She loves hers too.

Did a fantastic job cancelling noise. I was allergic to the material used for the war cups though. Think it was sheep skin I heard? It just made my ears itch like crazy but that’s on me not Sony.

The noise cancellation is incredible and no hiss like BOSE. Music sounds deep and Rich and has very high tech features. They look a tad large on the head, but the quality and comfort cannot be BEAT

After several different pairs of Bluetooth headphones, these finally measured up to their specs. Wish more manufacturers would take their products seriously and not peddle so much junk out there

This is a fantastic noise cancelling headphone. The sound is absolutely clear with many options in the app that can be downloaded. Full rich and slightly better in stage than the Bose QC 35 II

I extremely like these over the beats studio that I exchanged for these. These work flawlessly with Android LGV20 and the beats didn't work well with Android. The noise cancelling is very good too.

I have lost count of how many headphones and headsets I have owned and reviewed over the years. I have owned brands like Klipsch, Astro Gaming, Bose, Sony, and Turtle Beach to name a few. Noise cancellation technology has really progressed these past years and the Sony 1000XM2 shows why it is the best on the market currently. The 1000XM2 has a modern looking sleek design with very comfortable ear cups. I was able to wear this headset for hours on end without any noticeable discomfort. The ear cup leather is of good quality and the overall headset build and material feels quite solid. The headset utilizes an entirely touch pad system located on the outside of the right ear cup. It is intuitive and quite easy to use. Swiping up or down controls volume while left and right swipes is for music track control. Double tapping pauses or resumes and a holding press activates voice assistant for your mobile device. Simply great design. The noise cancellation is the clearly the best feature here. I have tested the Bose QC 35 and those are great at noise cancelling, however the Sony 1000XM2 wins here for sure. You can customize the noise isolation level to allow a certain level of external sounds to be heard. A mobile app for IOS and Android can be downloaded which allows you to adjust the noise cancellation and EQ settings among other things. A most welcome feature for me personally is the Quick Attention option. When covering the right touch pad, internal audio is lowered and noise cancellation reduced so you can hear outside sounds like someone talking to you for example. Great feature that should be incorporated in future headset designs. The audio quality is comparable to Bose pieces. The bass is surprisingly very strong and can be adjusted via the app. Dynamic range is pretty good and vocals are crystal clear. I need my bass to be at least semi punchy and this headset truly delivers on that. Battery life is reported to be 30 hours which is plenty long and the headset comes with a hard travel case. I can not say enough positives for the 1000XM2. The only comparable headset I have tested recently is the QC 35 II but the Sony has features that separate it like the touch pad control system and Quick Attention option. Customizing via the Sony mobile app further pushes this over the top and I highly recommend giving this at least a try. You will not be disappointed.

I chose these over the Bose because I liked the way they felt when worn and seemed sleeker. The noise cancelling capability is astounding. The sound is great and indistinguishable from Bose.

These really work great. I've used them to shut out noisy kids while trying to do some continuing education, airplane, and just overall listing to various things. Zero disappointment.

Noise cancellation is good on this. If you can get it for a lower price than retail, this is good. Otherwise, spend a little more for the updated model.

It is an absolute pleasure listening to music and movies with these on. It's like being at the movies. The clarity of sound is awesome.

I bought this so my roommate could study in peace while I listened to my music. No problems and I love the hand to ear function so I can hear my surroundings without taking the set off.

It is great and the noise canceling process works great. I have used Bose and I will not go back to Bose. The Bose developed a high pitch whistleling noise that made it impossible to use.

love my headphones , only downside is that i cant connect to SONY PS4 wirelessly. but overall love it, am always on the road at least an hour of the day and never feel any fatigue on my ear

This is my 4th wireless headphones purchase and I would say it's pretty amazing. Sony has finally nailed it. Awesome sound quality and noice cancellation. Happy with my purchase.

Double tap to pause does not work that consistently, otherwise everything else about this headphones is great. I can use it for hours together without any discomfort.

Noise Cancellation Let's get right to the noise cancellation. The Sony WH-1000XM2 has the best noise cancellation in its class. The noise cancellation surpasses that of its closest competitor, the one that rhymes with nose. I know because I own a pair of the latest generation of those headphones as well. Noise cancellation seems to be stronger on the Sony 1000XM2. Moreover, the Sony headphone app allows you to manually adjust the amount of noise cancellation from 0 (full noise cancellation) to 20 (allows all ambient noise in). Or, if you'd rather let the app automatically adjust the noise cancellation, you can do that too by switching on the Adaptive Sound Control feature which analyzes your movements and balances the noise cancellation depending on your activity and environment. And if that isn't enough, Sony's Personal Noise Canceling Optimizer customizes the noise cancellation based on an analysis of how the headphones rest on your head. It will maximize the noise cancellation by detecting if you are wearing glasses, wearing earrrings, etc. Flying on an airplane? Well, the headphones will measure the atmospheric pressure and adjust the noise cancellation. All these noise cancellation features are pretty phenomenal. Sound Quality What about sound quality? Sound quality is top notch as well. Audio is crisp, vocals are clear and detailed, and the bass punches when it needs to. It almost sounds like you're listening to the music live, right in front of you, your own personal concert. If you are not pleased with the sound, the Sony app has both preset and user adjustable/customizable equalizers to suit your listening pleasure. More brands need to follow Sony's lead and include equalizers with their apps. Touch Controls The right ear cup is fully controlled by touch controls, no buttons at all. Cup your hand over the right earphone, the volume drops and allows ambient noise in to enable conversations. Swipe up and down on the ear cup to control the volume. Swipe forwards and backwards to skip songs on a playlist. Tap twice to pause/play or take a call. Finally, a single long press will activate the voice assistant on your phone. Build Quality and Comfort Fit and finish on the headphones are excellent. The metal headband feels strong and sturdy. Hinges move freely and smoothly. All pieces have tight tolerances and no wobble. They look truly professional in quality. I wear eyeglasses and the earpads feel comfortable over my glasses. No pinching or fatigue. I'm able to wear the headphones for hours with glasses on. Only complaint is that my ears will get warm, but that's the case for all over the ear headphones. Battery Life No complaints here. The battery is rated for 30 hrs on a single charge. If you're in a rush, a single 10 minute charge will get you up to 70 minutes of audio playback. Accessories I believe that the accessories a company provides defines how much it cares about the customer's experience. Sony did right by including a premium hard cover carrying case, audio cable, micro-usb charging cable, and airplane plug adapter. Summary The latest iteration of the Sony noise cancelling 1000XM2 leaves the competition in the dust. You can read countless reviews and the general consensus is that these headphones are class leading. From noise cancellation to audio quality, to an app that is really worth using, and to unique touch controls, there is no reason why you wouldn't want to hand over your hard earned money for these cans. They are worth it!

I never thought i would pay $300 for headsets! but if you travel or just listen to music with headphone. These are great! Get a little hot wearing them, but still glad I bought them.
