Wanted something more portable for a variety of outside uses, to take camping, or by the pool, etc. This works great! It links easily to my home or my cell phone, its lightweight and water proof! The sound is excellent - couldn't tell the difference between it and way more expensive models!!

Great sound quality. It not too big nor too small. You can take it anywhere. Totally worth my money!

The xb30 is an excellent wireless bluetooth speaker. I purchased with a lenovo Yoga 720. After updating the drivers the speaker functioned well using Slacker Radio and Pandora. Sony recommends downloading the Songpal app. The app refused to download to my Yoga laptop saying that I had no appropriate device on my bluetooth list, even after pairing the xb30 and having it listed as a paired bluetooth device. The speaker works well without Songpal. I don't know what advantages this app provides, but it may only be usable for smartphones. Other than that it is a good, loud, clear speaker.

This speaker has excellent sound. It gets pretty loud and has very good bass compared to other speakers i have tried.

Didn't know a lot about these bluetooth speakers. Wanted one for my classroom to avoid all the cords that kids trip over. Decided on the Sony for the price and quality from demo in store. So far it's a very good speaker. It's loud enough and the BASS BOOST works very well. It's a small speaker so you won't get that "Stereo" sound but it does the job nonetheless. I think the price should be about $20 less as I'm sure there are knockoff's just as good.

I had been looking for a wireless speaker I could carry with me when I travel, when I'm sitting out on my patio or when I'm at work. Although this speaker is a little larger than I wanted, it's been great. The sound quality is clear, the battery life is good, and the extra bass feature is an added bonus. Plus the ability to sync this product with other devices and use it as a speakerphone is great.

This SONY speaker works well. It synced up to my iPad quickly. When I turn it on, it reconnects within a few short seconds. Controls work well and sound quality is good. I don't really need the lights, but they could be fun. I haven't tried connecting up with other units. My only wish is that there was a remote control. Aside from that, it was a good purchase and the price seemed reasonable.

This little speaker packs a punch, with great sound, easy connectivity, and small enough to fit nicely in a daypack. So far, I haven't had the opportunity to test the battery life, due to the fact that it's mostly used in my garage or shop, and usually leave it plugged in to a convenient outlet while playing. Base boost is exactly as advertised and plenty of it. You can definetly hear the difference. Set up wasn't a problem because a free Geek Squad appointment included in the purchase didn't take 5 minutes to complete. Bada bing...bada boom... and out the door with portable tunes blarring from my new XB30. In case you're wondering, the XB30 is WAY more speaker than the XB20 and a LOT less expensive than the XB40. Tried out the in-store demos on all the other brands as well and this little jewel just had the BEST sound of all for a GREAT price.....of course, I bought it on SALE!!!

I have had a few different portable Bluetooth speakers and this one is by far the best one for the money. It packs a lot of power and the sound quality is really good given the price. I am sure there are better out there, but you will probably pay a heck of a lot more. Also, the lights are pretty cool when you are listening to music at night by the pool or the fire!

compared this to ultimate ear megabox and bought this product. has very nice sound with good features. a little heavy in the bass even without the bass boost. you can turn off the lights, i found them a little annoying. long battery life. does not charge through a usb, uses a charger supplied with product. good and solid item

Glad I got the X30, it has great deep sound for its size. Battery life is really good on a charge, lights are cool at night otherwise keep them off to save battery. Like that it has USB charging to your device. Really glad I got this one. No issues with Bluetooth dropping connection, or when playing music at low levels (no drop-out) like my old device.

I'm not only music fan, but a musician as well. I know good sound when I hear it and this LITTLE speaker sounds 10 times larger than it really is. Powerful sound and really great bass. and if that's not enough, I got it on sale too! Buy one (or more) and you won't be disappointed.

I needed a replacement speaker for my laptop at work that could also be used with my cellphone. This speaker had the best feature set and sound of the speakers I tested. Battery life is very good and lasts several days with moderate to heavy use. I wish it could charge vis a USB port instead of with a separate charger but that's my only complaint.

I purchased this little guy and it was louder than I expected! Will fill a whole room and walk away further in the house and still hear it! You won’t be disappointed because the bass and lights will keep you entertained! The kids also enjoyed it as well at a sleepover!

Probably the best sound for a portable speaker in this price range. I paired my iPhone to several different brands on display in the store and listened to my music through them. To my ears, this speaker sounded the best out of all of them. Plenty loud enough. Pairing it to my phone once I got it home was so easy, it practically set itself up!

I have to admit.....I was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality of this speaker. It is small but it definitely has some bass. I use this for small gatherings at my house and the multi-colored lights quickly become a conversation topics. Great product!

I was awed by the older generation of this speaker, but after hearing this one - I want to buy one for each room! It is crystal clear and the extra bass is fun for when you're feeling like a party. It's awesome that you can pair these too, who needs a DJ?
