bought two for my teen age kids. they love that they can play both at the same time. and that the can hold a charge, and take it on the go. super loud. thinking of buying one for my outside workshop. clear and crisp music with big bumpn bass

It has been a long time since i have purchased anything Sony. I bought this speaker for my 9 year old daughter for Christmas. She has played a lot of kid bop music threw this speaker. Great sound and good bass.Dad borrows the speaker plenty to play music because of the great sound. I like the battery life. Seems quilty built. It's water resistant but do not plan on leaving it in the rain.

Although this speaker is a little expensive, it is worth every penny. I work in noisy environment and with the volume all the way up I can hear the music all the way across the building, no problem. The lights are a nice touch, but I could do without them and mostly have them off The battery lasts all day and then some after you charge/discharge it a few times.

This was my fourth speaker purchase in the last two years. I first bought a JBL charge plus 2 for my boyfriend and within 6 months it stopped charging. Luckily we had Best Buy's insurance plan so we traded in for a new one. 6 months later, same problem. We traded up for a UE and repeated the exact same process. Instead of getting a new UE the associate at Best Buy told us that Sony had just come out with a new product and they were on sale as a promotion to get them off the shelves. The display had amazing sound quality and all they specs were very appealing. We've had it for a few months and absolutely love it. It stays charged for what seems like forever, the light display is so fun at night when we have friends over. Pairs with up to 10 devices. It's durable and I give it 5 stars no problem. Way to go Sony!

Good sound and easy to transport. I like that it is splash proof and the battery seems to last for 5+hrs at a time. My only concern is how long the battery will last long term, but if I can get two- three years I would be content.

This speaker is a good value at $150 price I purchased it for. It has decent bass and volume. It could use more detail in the highs though.

Sony xb40 with dancing lights is very cool! Got the app that can go into settings for this speaker to customize it to your liking. Also appreciate the base boost button that really changed the sound of speaker! Battery lasts a long time, not really know cause after a couple of hours,I usually plug in the charger.

I have purchased several portable bluetooth speakers in the past and the Sony XB40 is the best one thus far. It has a long lasting battery. In my testing with moderate volume and the LED lights turned off, I was able to get about 23 hours from a single charge! I also like the look and build quality of the speaker; the LED lights make this speaker unique. As for the sound quality, it is very good. I was able to hear the speaker on display at the Best Buy store. The bass is pretty good for it being a portable speaker that you can carry around in a backpack or bag. I recommend using the Sony app that you can download so that you can set the equalizer to your preference.

This thing gets really loud and stays clear the whole time. Lasts an easy 15 hours at moderate volume. Only downside is that it's very bassy and hard to hear vocals at super low volume.

I was debating for a very long time between this speaker or the JBL Charge 3. I picked this speaker and I am glad that I did. It sounds great. It can get really loud and much louder than the competition. I really needed that because I use this speaker a lot outside so the volume was a major factor. The battery is simply amazing and beats out the competitors there. The build is very nice with the matte touch and it feels hefty but it actually feels lighter than I thought it would be. The lights are a great touch that I am enjoying especially when you see the lights go with the beats to the music. Sony continues to make awesome products.

I have never been a fan of Sony after being burned by a few purchases. I decided to give this speaker a try and I am pleasantly surprised. The bass at times can be much, but you can adjust if you download the app. I recommend if you plan on using outdoors for picnics or leisure.

This Samsung speaker is exactly what I was looking for. It's portable and very loud. It has a super bass setting and cool lights that flash in the front.

Pretty much all the reviews regarding the sound and battery life are correct. What I feel should be stated, especially for those who use speakers as part of their computer based sound system, the apps are not available for Windows 10 users. So, per the industry standard, if you have a window based tablet, PC, Laptop, don't expect them to consider us (multi-million users) as part of their targeted market. :(

I have used this speakers for a couple of months now. They are the perfect size, not too small, and not too big. It's very portable and comfortable. The quality of the product is incredible. It compares to any other major speakers brand in the market. Sound is so clear and it connects to different devices at the same time. I have even connected it to my laptop. Also, another great feature, specially when you want to use it outdoors is the connectivity technology that has with Samsung. I just tap my phone on top of the speakers and it connects automatically.

for a good size Bluetooth speaker this thing is amazing has great Bass and has a kick to it if you turn up the sound on the speaker itself and then fully turn the volume up on your phone for maximum loudness this thing sounds equally good to my $800 Yamaha surround sound home speakers that's how great quality speakers are on top of that the lights that flash all over the speakers do not flash randomly if you pay attention they actually go with the music and the bass and other parts in a song like drums and stuff depending on the song or techno

Purchased this speaker to carry at work. Sound is clear and plenty loud enough to hear in a loud environment at work. Excellent bass and easy to operate

Battery life great sounds terrific lights a plus and the app isn't all that great but you can change a bit of sound and lights

I really enjoy this speaker I have 3 of them. Good quality sound, durability, decent battery life. The LEDs are a plus.

I purchased this for my dad for father's day thinking I needed something simple, compact and with good sound quality. I had my budget set to $100 and not a penny more. When comparing all the devices, this one made the most sense. It was reg priced at $250 and was on sale for $150 as a holiday sale. This was a no brainer even though it was outside of my budget. Anyway, I purchased it and showed my dad how to use it. The base was awesome, the lights were fun and it was easy to use. My dad is very low tech so this made sense.
