Great product-not loud enough in big equipment

The reason we bought this particular speaker is to use in a piece of heavy equipment. In the store it sounded loud enough for our purpose. However, in a large piece of equipment, it does not go loud enough. Great product - just not loud enough for our specific purpose.

We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker. Depending on the connected BLUETOOTH device, volume adjustment on the BLUETOOTH device may not change the volume level of the speaker (i.e. the (power) indicator does not flash). The XE200 speaker sends sound out from a small, compact unit. You can spread sound wider with the Line-Shape Diffuser and enjoy powerful sound pressure and clarity with the X-Balanced Speaker, all housed inside a portable speaker with a handy strap. So for a person who is looking hard bass, this is no it. Its awesome if you bring it to a pool party.

You can deactivate the Ambient Noise Sensing function using the Sony | Music Center app or the speaker button. This function is designed to detect environmental noises during music playback and help reduce power consumption and preserve the battery by cutting out bass sounds that may become hard to hear because of the ambient noise. It beats out the other brands we have tried (Bose, LifeProof and Altec Lansing). My wife uses Bluetooth speakers in her preschool so they get used a lot.

I use a smaller one for meetings like Zoom and Teams. Maybe a little light on base, but if you're trying to bust down walls, you want a larger size, period.

Some what bulky compaired to a Bose of the same caliber but Bose wins the over all compairson. Only reason i settled was that the sony was $40 less then the Bose.
