I've treid several phones but overall this is my flat out favorite phone. I wouldn't trust the reviewers because I now know they're biased and flat out wrong. The phone is great. The screen is a great size/responsive (and quite honestly it isn't ginormous like 5.5 inch phones and fits nicely in my hand). The main reason I love this phone? The camera! It launches lightnig quick unlike other phones, has tons of features for smile detection and other features to take great pictures. It can auto-focus lightning quick and the processing is quite good (it's not an oversaturated image quality but you can always slightly adjust this later if you'd like -> which is my own preference). I have tried several phones before and found a lot of phones would be super slow with taking pictures and when trying to take a picture of my sister's kids (1-3 year olds); they'd either be a blurry mess or the pictures would be worthless. With this phone, I now have a great camera in my pocket for those life moments which can take great pictures as well. The anti shock stabilization really helps as I am a jittery person and take pictures quickly such as the ones I attached on a hike. I would consider giving this phone a chance. I wouldn't scuba dive with it but the water proofing is a great peace of mind in the event I drop my phone in water by accident as well and so far I can't imagine going away from this phone or Sony phones in the future. I did try two other very popular phones that came out earlier this year and I always had issues with parts of the phone (if you're looking for a phone to be a phone or camera this is a great choice especially with the dedicated shutter button).

I used this phone for about 2 years and worked well. Got infected with malware - and messed up by the android and sony updates. I tired to make a manual backup of the photos on the phone to a hard drive. I met some resistance backing up my photos. But, luckily I was able to back it up. Then the phone became useless after further software updates and loads of android malware. Forced to move on to a much more expensive iPhone....

Needs to be left alone for first two days for all the updates from the 2 years since this was released... Warranty info updates during that time too. Really wish best buy had the bespoke Sony case for this, but available elsewhere. If you don't need latest & greatest, this is an excellent choice with specs above most of the newest medium-priced phones.

I know it's a little bit pricy but this phone is solid! Great speakers, outstanding performance for videos and games. Haven't tried PS4 on it but seems that works pretty well. It depends on your likes, I love Sony smartphones and I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

Really good build quality for the phone with nice camera. Super smooth screen make and quick update to latest version of Android OS from Sony. Just missing finger print scanner as it is not enabled in the USA. Hope they enable it.

I love this device. It's better than any other phone out and I took the time to check. I compared it to iPhone's latest and Samsung's best but the XPERIA ☓ was better. The only issue I had was the simcard reader stopped acknowledging my Simcard like 4 days after I got the phone but Bestbuy took care of me no questions asked and replaced it. Overall a great experience thanks.

Well, I have been reading loathe of reviews that the battery doesn't last that long, well I have beven using this phone for almost a month and it last a full day, even though I watch movies on it at regular intervals in a day. So I would say it's a good phone.

This is another very good Sony phone. Incredible camera. Get a screen immediately, glass face is fragile.

My Xperia Z was getting physically tattered and I wanted to move past 5.1. After a lot of research I discovered this as a sleeper model. The camera is top notch. Best of luck in your search.

The X Performance is quite a phone compared to its previous models. So far I've liked how it operates albeit the shorter battery life vs the Z3 that I had. The curvature of the screen made it nice to swipe from left to right or top to bottom.

i bought it for my wife and she loves it! I love the sony phones.

I received my phone, but it seemed to have been used. There was already a lock pattern. I took it to Best Buy and they refunded me. I'm disappointed in Best Buys quality assurance before sending me a used product. I was looking forward to using my new phone, but now I'm back to square one.

The Sony Xperia X Performance is easily one of the best phones on the market that can easily compete with the IPhone and the Galaxy. It has a beautiful camera, long lasting battery and water resistant. It's definitely a top tier phone that deserves more credit than all the backlash it gets because it's not as popular as the other two phones.

As per the description on the website this phone did not have fingerprint sensor or reader, his is the second time when best buy did not deliver what was mentioned, disappointed ... overall if i ignore the fingerprint feature the phone is good.

I've sold cellular devices for many years at at&t and I can tell you Sony is one of best smartphone companies. This is a great device in many ways and I highly recommend it! If you want a phone that isn't super huge with a high quality camera, stereo speakers, ip 68 water and dust protection, and a nice and bright screen this is a winner. At the 250 dollar price(200 if you buy it in the bundle deal) It's the best phone you can buy hands down. I don't think I know of any other waterproof phones, with the Snapdragon 820(or higher), for this price. Added benefit Mobile Hotspot will work out of the box. No plan needed. Works terrific on Cricket Wireless. Sony is one of the best with updating their phones. Phone is already on Android Oreo while many 2017 Flagships are still on Nougat.

I had a Xperia T2 Ultra and I love it so I decided to try my hands at the X Performance. Omg it fast. I decided to get a new phone because pokémon go kept crashing and because I ran out of room on the 8gb storage. Cons: 1more Gb of ram and lower res than the s7 and g5

This is my second Xperia phone. The previous one lasted for 3 years and I could still use it but I thought I needed a change. This phone has an amazing look and features that other top tier phones have and definitely deserves more credit. Most of the online reviews favors other companies over Sony but I would highly recommend this phone to anyone. They also have an amazing costumer service. I've been waiting for this phone since it was announced and now I am very happy with it.
