Bad luck + bad quirk = unhappy consumer.

I bought this phone for $149 ($249 - credits) and thought that I had an awesome deal. I liked the fact that I had 6" of screen on an impressively sized phone with no app issues and 4GB of RAM. The storage space was less than expected, but I coped with it and enjoyed the speed of he phone and the video streaming ease with Netflix and DirecTV. Listening to music with Bluetooth was pretty sweet as well, plus it was nice and heavy and made out of metal which I liked most. The problem that I had with this phone was the very VERY annoying LCD screen quirk. If the upper right corner of the screen is touched, it gives an interpretation of bad reception and cannot be straightened out unless the screen is put to sleep and awoken again. Nothing keeps it from happening (including a factory reset) unless that corner is never touched. Just my bad luck, I dropped the phone out of my pocket while stooping down and Wham... Broke he LCD screen. I didn't crack, but the screen was totally unusable afterwards. Plus, a repair facility for Sony wanted $200 to fix it which was definitely NOT in the budget so... I might repair it, but since it's a budget phone, I'll by another budget phone and completely destroy this one. Parts to fix it is cheap, but it will Tree ax my time and patience so fugetaboutit, lol... Plus, the case was hard to find and futile to repurchase as the phone case I bought from Best Buy broke on me (which was why it was naked when it slipped out of my pocket and broke) Oh well... So much for Sony... I can't fault Best Buy, they did a fabulous job selling me the phone. It's just that the Sony product was not a good one.

This is a well-designed Android phone with excellent screen quality, high-resolution, and accurate color reproduction. Camera images rival a dedicated SLR, all in a convenient, high-tech package.

After having Samsung Galaxy 2, 4, 6 and 8+ phones for the past few years and having the Sony Xperia, it's pretty much seamless to jump phone makers without really losing anything that I'm used to having with a Galaxy. I love the flat design of it, it's nice and wide unlike the Galaxy phones which is thin and long, It's just a nice change of scenery of having basically the same thing over and over with Samsung. Sony has different models that you can choose from, that you pick a different flavor instead of the vanilla phone of Samsung's. I'll be sticking with Sony Xperia' s for awhile, with no knock to Samsung, I love both makers but time for something new!

This Sony phone is much better than Samsung. It Hass a huge screen, good battery life, & I have not had any problems at all. Great camera front & back. No more Samsung for me.

The build quality of the phone is amazing, however; this phone is humongous. It runs as close to a stock Android will. The camera is shabby, not up to my standard. I felt bit of a lag while switching apps, it shouldn't happen. Things must be seamless and streamlined. I didn't try the headphones that came with the purchase. It is a decent phone, I just dislike the performance and size. The box looks sad and the content was disorganized.

My seven month old Motorola suffered a shattered screen, and I didn't feel like shelling out another $500-$700 for a phone. Found this Sony Xperia with a huge screen, so I went for it. Other than the fact I can't make calls over Wi-Fi, I'm satisfied with it. The screen is massive, which I love. Can't comment on too many other features, because I pretty much just use it to make calls and message people. I think the phone is a great value.
