Battery lasts a long time and not too heavy to move around. Sound is good and has many options to customize it. Also like that it has mic inputs and controls. While it might not be as loud as you initially expected, the sound quality and endurance certainly seem to make it a hit. The maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet. You don't have to download the Sony app to use it, just connect it to your phone or whatever you want with Bluetooth. You can tweak the EQ with the app if you'd like. Tons of sound, Sony quality is right where you want it to be for the money. I considered a bunch of the JBL ones before ultimately deciding on this. I don't regret it.
