Probably a perfect party speaker although very heavy for some. In most cases it's just better to roll rather than carry. Yes it is expensive but a big bang for your buck. All in all I’m happy with the product so far.

If I only had the Sony I wouldn’t be disappointed! The JBL does have more bass, but it’s not as if the Sony is far behind. The clarity in the Sony is a bit better than the JBL. There’s a trade off. The JBL has a more heavy bass-sound to it. Sony has bass, but not as heavy substituting it for clearness. By the reviews I can tell those condemning Sony’s bass must be JBL fanboys or hardcore bass enthusiast. I did receive a 10 minute update out the box for the speaker. Syncing your device with the speaker is simple. Pressing the Bluetooth for 2 secs on the speaker then finding it on your IPad took less than 10 seconds. Apps automatically popped up for download upon syncing for organizing your music and other activities. The Sony like the JBL has a bass button. The internal battery and the option to turn off lights are a huge benefit! Some people complain about the wheels. Personally I don’t have any issues with it. Maybe they could be slightly bigger, but that’s nitpicking. I’m very satisfied with the quality of the product. It does get loud. The led lights when activated are beautiful. JBL has a better light show, but Sony has a great light show too! It depends on your preference. If you want extremely loud bass with a 4th of July light show, JBL is king. If you want more soothing lighting where you can open the blinds at night and clearer sound Sony is king. Plus the speaker doesn’t require a power source with the internal battery. It can be taken anywhere! If you’re the romantic type, you can take this speaker to a secluded place for dancing. This is a five star rating!

Lg has one thats bigger and has more bass but you always have to keep it plug. This one hli dont need to, you just charge the battery qnd take it wherever yoi need it. Its a little heavy to transport but in door you can use tge wheels wich make it easier to move around.

I purchased this during a sale, and I'm very satisfied. At full volume, it can be heard clearly inside the neighbor's house. It fills a house full of people with sound at a little over half volume. The speaker's capabilities are also improved with the download of the Sony app, which allows you to change the EQ setting as well as customize the party lights.

Seriously, this baby blows EVERY bluetooth party speaker out there out of the water. It's not only loud, it's audio output is scarily very crisp and loud (yes, you hear things and instruments you didn't know were there from songs you've listened to for years!) Used it at a recent house party (at a 3rd of it's volume level.....yes, anything more and I'm sure the neighbors would have been complaining), and I've never had so many people compliment a speaker and ask after the model. Sony definitely scored big with this one. It's heavy, yes. But clearly has a lot to show for it. Should I even mention the lights on it? Will be pairing this up with a 2nd unit just because....ha ha ha!!

I was totally surprised with the power of this speaker, it surpasses the xp700 in all, I really love it. connected to the current or disconnected the sound is practically the same you will not lose money if you are looking for power and portability without the need to be connected to current this will solve you. Personal jukebox!

It is pretty much a home jukebox. I found this, open box at my local Best Buy for $650. The notes said the "lights no work" (they work fine) and I wanted something with high SPL for my home workouts and this fit the bill. I was a professional DJ for years and I am blown away by this! Great sound, clear highs, and deep lows. It looks awesome in my home gym and is very sturdy. I imagine I will have this for a LONG time before needing to replace it. I MAY buy a companion, but honestly it just isn't needed. Overall, this is excellent if you are willing to spend the money or can find a good deal.

Outside on a street corner lol, inside a large open floor plan living room/kitchen. The hidden thing that people dont realize is this speaker has a optical cable port. Using a optical cable makes this speaker like a portable surround sound system. The tv sound booster works perfectly with your tv speakers. I have a 65” Sony X950. The tv sound booster seperates the top and side speakers of the xv900 as added hi’s and the woofer for bass, while using the tv speakers for the mids/voice. I just purchased a 75” Tcl brand tv for around 520.00 it also has the optical port and worked with the tv sound boost function as well. If you dont want to use the optical cable and connect your tv through bluetooth that sounds just fine as well. My son has the 800 and I also have a 700, we connect all 3 and it goes crazy. When you plug this speaker into an outlet it sounds better and also has tech that bypasses the battery once fully charged to extend the battery health. Oh yea one more thing I have a suv and have put this speaker in the trunk and it bumps like some 10 inch woofers. This speaker is good for all kinds of uses I dont think I will ever need to buy another speaker its that good. The lights are nice and smooth nothing crazy. Its big and heavy. Its a party on wheels no joke.

It’s loud and the bass is it. I also have it hooked up to my 68in Hisense for surround sound. I use my iPad to adjust the sound and you can have connect 2 devices connected so I don’t have be this awesome ssa DJ by myself. Worth every penny.

Reggaeton and hip-hop sound awesome on it.. kind of portable the reason why I say that is it does have wheels that you’re able to roll it but if you’re going up and downstairs with it yeah… but other than that just the sound quality of this thing is just another level and we got it for a really great price. Sony knocked it out of the park with this one… they were other smaller ones that were there, but we grabbed this one and it just fills the house music for those of you who love to clean with music.
