Good cd by a fantastic group of artists. Give it a try

Great cd to give as a gift. Found for a great price.

It's ok. Not my favorite but my husband loves it. I listen to it though

If you like good old fashion rock and roll, then this is for you

Kind of a boring cd. Nothing really stands out to me.

Luckily, I found out about the “Sound City: Reel To Reel” through the Foo Fighters e-mail mailing list. I decided to take a chance on them because I previously enjoyed the Foo Fighters greatest hits collection (reviewed it on January 14, 2011), their Wasting Light cd (reviewed on May 14, 2011), and had much fun at one of the Foo Fighters concerts back in November 11, 2011. As with millions of others, I have been aware of Foo Fighters since the 1990’s thanks to MTV. Additionally, I have been familiar with the Foo Fighters and this genre of music because my two older brothers frequently listened to rock music. I like the diverse music collaborations on the cd. I also completely understand that it is going to vary with each man or woman on personal favorites on this cd. However, I have to admit that the following are among the songs that caught my attention: “Heaven And All” (Robert Levon Been, Dave Grohl, Peter Hayes), “You Can’t Fix This” (Stevie Nicks, Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, & Rami Jaffee), “The Man That Never Was” (Rick Springfield,Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel& Pete Smear), “From Can To Can’t” (Corey Taylor, Dave Grohl, Rick Nielsen, & Scott Reeder), “Cut Me Some Slack” (Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, & Pat Smear), and “Mantra” (Dave Grohl, Joshua Homme, & Trent Reznor). “Sound City: Reel To Reel” is a great music choice for those who like rock music featuring an eclectic range of musicians.

I had a lot of curiosity about this, so I ppv it. and immediately had to own it! What an amazing story about what I grew up listening to! The Fleetwood Mac story was awesome! A part of history disappeared with the studios demise. Sadly digital is not always the way you should hear music, especially when you listen back to the old way music was recorded! a must see!

Really great album for anyone who is a fan of classic rock and new rock. You can really tell when listening to it that the artists really enjoyed collaborating with each other.

Quality tracks from rock veterans and nice flow from start to finish. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to fans old and new!! See the movie if possible, fantastic!!

Looking for a diverse set of songs by an equally diverse set of musicians? If so, I recommend you give this disc a spin. Some excellent pairings of incredibly talented musicians and a real satisfying listen.

Once again, thanks Dave:) Excellent companion to the movie. Like how a lot of the artist got outside of their comfort zone!

Would've loved to have been a fly on the wall in Dave Grohl's home studio when they recorded this one!

Interesting collection of artists with a wide variety of styles. Definitely a must listen.

this is a great cd! nice mix of different artists and sounds.

I didnt care much for this album. It is not one of there best at all.
