These headphones are a good value. You can create a custom sound profile using their app. The sound was just ok for me in the default setting but improved a lot when I played around with the equalizer in the app. The noise cancellation isn’t as good as my AirPods Pro but is not too bad considering the price difference. I would say it’s about 75% as effective. Battery life is good and they are pretty comfortable. Build quality is good, especially at such a low price point.

These Soundcore Q20i Over-Ear Headphones with ANC perform well above what I would expect for the price I paid, especially considering I picked them up while they were on sale at $40. I actually purchased these during a road trip after realizing I had left both mine and my son’s headphones at home, so they ended up getting immediate real-world use. The ANC does not give me any of the “pressure” feeling that some other budget products have, while still being effective. It was able to block out voices and a loud industrial fan almost completely. The transparency mode does work, but can be overly sensitive to environmental noise like wind or fans. The sound is V shaped, meaning the bass and high frequencies are emphasized while the midrange is slightly recessed, but not to the point where vocals are drowned out. This gives extra punch to things like sub bass in rap music, 808 drums, and bass guitars, while also adding sparkle to higher frequency sounds like cymbals and hi-hats. Vocals and instruments in the midrange still come through clearly. The bass has nice extension and emphasis that still delivers texture without being overly boomy, and the treble is pleasant without being overly bright or sibilant. They are comfortable, and the pads are very soft, though I can’t speak to their long term durability. The headband is adequate in terms of padding. I did not have an issue with the weight of the headphone, and neither did my son who used them. The build quality is good overall, and the ear-cups can fold, making them more compact for storage. The headband adjusts easily with a good range, though they may be slightly large at their minimum size for smaller users. Even so, my 6 year-old was able to make them work. He quickly figured out how to power them on and off and switch through the ANC modes with minimal instruction during a car ride. (Side note for parents: there is no built in volume limit, so you will need to set it on your child’s device—I found around 70–80% was a safe limit since these can get loud.) I did not test the onboard microphone, but if it is similar in quality to the microphones used for transparency mode, it should be adequate. I had no issues connecting to my iPhone or my Android tablet, which should be expected for a device using Bluetooth 5.3. I did not specifically test maximum range, but I did leave my phone in another room at one point and the headphones stayed connected. They also reconnected easily without pairing issues when switching to my son’s tablet. The battery life is impressive. I was able to get ~5 hours of use each day over 3–4 days and did not need to charge them. Charging is done via the included USB-C to USB-A cable, but no wall adapter is included, so you will need to provide your own. They also include a 3.5mm to 3.5mm headphone cable if you want to use them wired. I have not used them wired nor have I attempted to see if they can be used via USB so I cannot comment on their sound in those use cases. One downside is they do not come with a case or bag, which increases the risk of damage and makes it harder to keep the included cables together outside of the original packaging. For context, I have experience with many midrange and high-end wired headphones including the Sennheiser HD600/650, Focal Elear, Hifiman HE-6SE V2, Audeze LCD-2, Beyerdynamic DT880, and V-Moda M-100, along with a wide range of Bluetooth headphones such as the Audeze Maxwell, Beats Solo 3 and 4, Drop + THX Panda, Bose QC35 II, Sony WH-720N and WH-1000XM3/M4, and Apple AirPods Pro (Gen 1/2/3). While my inner audiophile suffers a bit, I can appreciate the convenience that Bluetooth headphones bring in everyday use. Overall, these are a strong performer for the price with good sound, solid features, and impressive battery life. Great value for the price, especially when on sale.

Good Value, But Noise Cancelling Falls Short

I purchased the Soundcore Q20i headphones mainly for the active noise cancelling and long battery life. Overall, they’re a solid pair of headphones for the price, but there are a few trade-offs to be aware of. The good: The battery life is ok. I can go a day without charging them, and the advertised long playtime feels accurate. The sound quality is also surprisingly good strong bass, clear vocals, and a nice overall balance, especially if you enjoy deeper low-end tones. They’re comfortable for extended wear and feel lightweight without feeling cheap. The downside: The active noise cancelling isn’t the best. It does reduce some background noise, like steady hums or light ambient sounds, but it doesn’t block out voices or louder distractions very effectively. If you’re expecting premium, near-silence-level ANC, these won’t quite deliver. Overall, the Q20i headphones are an ok option with strong battery life and good sound quality. Just don’t expect top-tier noise cancellation.

For the price, these a very good budget headphones. Good sound, battery, and durability. The only minor issue I have with these is that you have to hold the on/off button for about 10 seconds to get them to turn on or off.

When my Sony ANC wired headset hit end of life I went best reviews in an economy headset. This headset is excellent. Audio quality is as good as Anything I’ve compared it to and Noise cancelling is superb. Battery life is very good at 40 hrs with ANC on or 55 hours without ANC. The app makes wireless connection super easy and two devices are stored for easy moving from phone to PC listening. For home use, wired listening is available though phone operation in wired uses either the phone’s mike and controls nicely, I found my Sony wired mike cable works. It’s lightweight, comfortable and does it all at a surprisingly affordable price.

I bought this for my daughters boyfriend who is 6’7” college basketball player. After he lost 2 different sets of apple earpods, 1 set was in 20 min. Fell out of his pocket on campus he is actually able to keep up with these. He wears them ALL the time!!! They stay on his head and are comfortable on his ears unlike the earpods were for him. He says the sound is amazing and easy to connect to phone, tv, ipad or gaming devices. The battery life last a long time. He loves these.

Best headphones I've ever had. Noise canceling and transparent mode come in super clutch. Sometimes I use noise canceling mode just to cancel noise and have peace while not even listening to things. Also transparent mode works really well. I can listen to things while still being aware of things going on in my house. I produce and make music, these headphones are perfect for the deep lows. Bass and 808s were a dealbreaker for me. Very portable, I take them all over the place and they're still in great condition. Had them for maybe a year and don't regret my purchase at all. Battery lasts way longer than expected. Literal weeks sometimes with casual use. I've maybe charged my headphones 10-20 times in the year I've had it.

Very comfortable, I can wear them for hours at a time with no problem. The better life is excellent, but the description of only "high/medium/low" when you power them on. After about 6-7 hours of use on normal mode, they finally dropped to medium. Nose cancelling mode is excellent. I only wish they were small enough to sleep in at that point. The power cord is short, maybe 8". Overall in sure the $2-300 headphones are higher quality sound, etc., but you can't beat these in the $40-60 range.

My daughter loves these. Her Beats broke again and I loaned her these. She said the sound quality, battery life, compatibility with Bluetooth, wearing comfort, and ease of use are all better than Beats. I saved money and didn’t replace her beats.

My recent headphone purchase has been a delight. The design is both stylish and comfortable, ensuring prolonged wear without discomfort. Sound quality is exceptional, offering clear highs, robust mids, and deep bass for an immersive experience. They connect seamlessly to devices, with a battery life that lasts through long listening sessions. Sturdy construction suggests durability, and for the price, they offer excellent value. Overall, a highly satisfying purchase I'd recommend to others.
