Not having a "smartphone", I purchased this voice translator for an upcoming trip to Europe. Just from playing around with it so far, I like that it is compact, super easy to use, can be operated with WiFi or used anywhere that a cellphone can and is loud enough to be heard. I know a little bit of Greek and the device translated what I said accurately. It is so Star Trek-ish. I showed it to the person I'll be traveling with and they bought one as well. Based on my initial impressions, I can highly recommend the Pocketalk Voice Translator.

I originally bought this to go on a trip to Egypt. However, the Arabic language on the device is very formal and not “slang” like Egyptians talk. However, I Do use it at work (I’m a nurse) to talk to patients who speak foreign languages. It works well for very basic communication. A German doctor I work with loves it! My dad is from Holland and he says it is very accurate.

Bought as a gift for my father as they travels a lot. So far the translation has been right on point. Great gift item for travelers

Used this product in our office to better facilitate conversation with co-workers from Korea. The product was simple to setup - basic step by step and the interface is basic and effective.

This translator has been a good investment. I use this all the time it’s great. My wife doesn’t speak good English. This has helped us unbelievably. We use to use the phone, but this is so much better.

This product works very well-have not used it too much yet unfortunately. We bought it for my mom and caretaker whose primary language is Russian. It’s easy for my Mom to use and she does not need to find an app which would be hard for her as she is 92 years old.

My son went to israel for 3 weeks to visit my dad. My dad can’t speak a word in English and my son can’t speak a word in hebrew. As soon as he landed he told me how this device is a life saver.

It works really well. Sometimes when translating from spanish to english the sentences dont make sense but you get enough to understand the jist of it

Useful translator, but still needs wi-fi and an internet connection to translate (not always available where you might use it).
