Bought this as a gift for my fiance after we returned from Kauai and spent time on the beach where the movie was made. It was a great experience. I looked for the movie at other stores but Best Buy was the only one that had it...plus I got points for my purchase. Awesome!

Great movie. Had not seen it in a long time. Surprised that a scene talks about issues with cultural differences being an issue for people. (Nellie wrestling with the fact that Emile had been married to a native woman and had two children with him.)

A great story and screenplay--perfectly cast; wonderful acting; superb music; a timeless tale of love and how prejudice can be an impediment to it. Truly a classic!

Some find the tinting of scenes (which was the way this movie was made) off-putting, but it was a way of setting the mood. Regardless, it's prime Rodgers and Hammerstein - great music, great story, and this blu-ray is fantastic.

This is probably my favorite musical. My son plays in the band and he likes musicals so I bought this to watch with him. Got West Side Story as well. Both good prices. I like movies. I like collecting classics

Had many opportunities to see this movie over the years, finally bought it. Have been early musical movie lover and was not disappointed in the purchase. Besides my wife loved it.

I had this one on another blu ray and now it has more behind the scenes and it is a great picture with sprawling picture and better sound quality. Its the way the movie should be shown.

This is a classic and has great songs that will get stuck in your head. I don't mind at all! I have yet to check out the bonus material on the other disks. Looking forward to that!

Another classic musical that I've enjoyed watching for many years. I love all the musical numbers, the dancing and the story. Who wouldn't want this in their collection?

I have looking for this movie for a while, found the dvd at Best Buy for a great low price. The quality of the dvd is excellent. Also the shipping to me was free.

I love musicals I recently bought the new version I do like Harry Connick Jr but I had to start looking for the original to really satisfy my musical collection

Very eager to watch this movie as it is a musical I have never seen. Movie came with regular DVD as well as Blu Ray disk and special features in both formats as well.

I just love SOUTH PACIFIC and this DVD is spectacular. It is the movie version and will bring back delicious memories You'll be tempted to sing along.

this is a better reproduction of the movie than the original, picture, sound, screen size, everything. if you a fan of South Pacific, you need this.

South Pacific is a wonderful musical. I enjoyed it as a little girl and was so excited to see it at the Best Buy store, so I had to purchase it!!!

This is a fantastic blu ray of the classic Rodgers & Hammerstein musical. The video looks fantastic in hi-def and sounds even better in 5.1 stereo. A must-own!

This movie was purchased when BB had a great sale on the musicals. I picked it up for my daughter who loves musicals. Good purchase. Lots of extras.
