I enjoyed playing South Park: The Stick of Truth because it was a fun and funny game. As an RPG it is not that difficult or complicated. The story was well written, and humorous. There are 4 different classes you can choose from, but not worth another play through to play them. If you are looking for a light RPG and are a fan of South Park, then this game is for you.

You can tell this was a game that Trey Parker and Matt Stone worked closely with developer Obsidian on. Not only does it deliver a story that pulls in countless references and in-jokes to the show with a great deal of original cut scenes and some BIG laughs, but the awesome artstyle they went with makes it look like you're actually playing out an episode. If you're a fan of the show, this game is a must. If you're a casual viewer, you'll likely still get a pretty big kick out of it. While the story and atmosphere are the main draw, the gameplay itself is pretty fun and very reminiscent of the Paper Mario series where you time button presses to attack or defend in traditional RPG battles. All around one of the best games of 2014 and last gen for that matter.

Everything about the world, characters and story is classic South Park. It truly is like watching an episode of the show and is quite possibly the funniest video game my son ever played.

I dont even watch the show and I found it to be worth my time! I find the tv show South Park to be like the TV show Family Guy and Im more of a Simpsons person. But this game is somewhere in the middle of both. There are some parts where its goes too far but not to where it ruined the experience. If your somewhat interested right now I highly recommend getting it!

When I loaded the disc the first time and enter the game, I was surprised to see a reference to the original Lord of the Rings movies, the Cartoons. After that, the game jumps to the world of South Park as if it's just another day in the life of the characters.
The game feels like a Final Fantasy game, which can be good or bad depending on if you like that series or not. But the story couldn't be further from that. It's a game about you trying to fit into a group of new people. Be warned, it's South Park. They pull no punches. It's filthy, racist at times, and for mature audiences. But to those that know South Park, none of that matters. You go into it head long and with a big old grin.
I played this game everyday for a week after and beat it. I'm working on the completing the game 100%.
And remember....Nagasaki!

After several delays and setbacks, this game has finally seen the light of day. The game could not have come out at a better time too, and even though I play mostly on my PS4 now, I couldn't wait to put this game in and play it. I played it for several days and became hooked. The humor is just like the tv show, as is the animation that is used. Speaking of animation, the transition of TV show to video game is perfect in the Stick of Truth.
The sound is great as well, because the game features all of the sounds of the characters as well as any music that is a staple of the South Park style. I normally don't go for turn--based RPG's but I was so hooked that I platinumed this game recently. I would recommend to anyone that has a PS3, please try out this game.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is a pitch-perfect game for fans of the show and older turn-based RPG's. The graphics and sound are straight from the show. Many times your only proof that you're playing a game is the fact that your custom character is on the screen, but he blends in with the rest of the cast so well its like you've made your own episode. The story and the writing are top-notch, even better than the show in most cases. This is because the censor is off, and the game took more than a week to write.
Gameplay will be familiar to those of us who grew up in the 90's playing video games. But a lot of modern design sensibilities are present, too. You can explore the town at your leisure and seek out all the little references to the show. Or you can charge straight through the main story. Combat may be challenging if you've never played a turn-based RPG before.
Overall an excellent experience and one that I would highly recommend to those OF APPROPRIATE AGE. This game is NOT for kids. Not even a little.

It's easy to throw around accolades for games because they meet most gamers' expectations, but Stick of Truth hits a home run beyond that. Even if you are a fan of the show, expect some surprising moments as you explore the town to 100% completion. Everything is set up just like the show right down to the re-join music when you load a game after saving. I've had a blast so far and the replay factor seems pretty high as a select few choices you make can slightly alter your completion percentage. My only gripe is every now & then during the farting mini-games are the controlls. They lag slightly and the direction can sometimes be confusing. Overall, best South Park game made so far and just as irreverent and crazy as one would expect.

It's irreverent, crude, and just totally South Park. Admittedly, there are some flaws. Sometimes characters get stuck for a short period of time. The game feels short but I'm already replaying it. If you're a long time South Park fan it's worth the purchase. Lots of references from early seasons that hit the nostalgia spot.

This game is hilarious especially if you are a fan of the TV show South Park. It looks and feels like you are actually in an episode of South Park. If you don't like South Park or RPGs then you should probably skip it. One can get through the game in roughly 18 hours.

If you watch South Park then you have to get this game, incorporates the show over the seasons and is honestly crude, offensive and probably at least 20 other things which makes it just that much better. You dont ever toot on anyone's ballz

For adults only! This game is a riot to play and pretty ingenious and gross at the same time. Definitely must be an adult to play to get some of the jokes, but if you wanna have a good time and laugh your rear off, this is one for the ages!

This game was hilarious right from the get-go. The whole world and aesthetic feels like I'm watching an episode of South Park. The humor is just as inappropriate and comical as the show.
I enjoyed the game so much I also got it on the PC.

This game is like playing a long episode of South Park. If you play all the side missions and really explore the town, it will easily get you 15-16 hours of gameplay. The story is hilarious, the gameplay is fun, and it's South Park. Having Matt and Trey involved intimately in the game design really shows, as the jokes, animation, and voices are all perfect. Don't go in looking for an intense RPG experience, the game plays more like Paper Mario, with timing-involved critical hits and defense, and putting marks on your equipment to improve them.

When you first get the game, you may think it will be like the N64 version and just be excited that it's finally back on a new gen console. But it's so much more than that. The gameplay is easy to grasp, but gives you enough to keep you going. Story might as well have been the follow up movie to the Black Friday Trilogy. Needless to say, if you watch South Park, play this game simply to be a part of this bigger, longer, and uncut (if you're in America) game.
