My husband and I enjoyed this movie so much. This is definitely one of Jake Gyllenhal's best movies. You need to watch this movie, you won't be disappointed

This is no Rocky movie, not near as good, but still a fun watch and must own. Fun good boxing movie, make me want to work out and do some boxing. Lol

Southpaw is the story of a boxer who loses everything and must redeem him entire life. I enjoyed this movie and thought Gyllenhaal was great. This is probably his best movie, at least since Donnie Darko.

If your a fan of movies like the Warrior and The Fighter this movie will be right up your alley. Great acting and wonderful cast this is a must watch movie

I like how gritty and realistic the special effects are. If you like movies where the hero has to overcome major adversity then this is the movie for you!

This movie was great, dealing with the loss of your soulmate and becoming a single parent. Great structure, although i wouldve liked to knock out 50 cent.

Now this is more drama than anything because you can't really have a plain sports movie. That's what documentaries are for, but really stands out is the cinemontagtaphy and performances by the cast.

Overall this was a good movie, kind of difficult to understand what Jake was saying throughout the movie, mumbled quite a bit, not sure if he was in character with whom he was portraying or what.

Great movie that show's the struggle of trying to change who you are. Definitely shows the hurdles he has to jump within himself and that it's not an overnight switch. Laughs, tears and suspense.

Although our dvd was broken when we opened the case we went and rented at redbox. Jake and Rachel are great actors. Loved every minute of this movie.

So I heard that this movie was made for the rapper Eminem and was really exited to see this but he dropped out of this movie sucks but anyways Jake did a really good job is not something new lol

First off the soundtrack is this movie is so good! Very great story line and great character building as well. Plus it has Rachael McAdams =)

I am not a fan of boxing, MMA, UFC, or WWE however this man's plight throughout the movie had me rooting for him from start to the finish.

Kind of felt like Rocky 2. Boxer at the top of his game loses it all, struggles and fights to come back. Jake Gyllenhaal does a wonderful job and is a beast.!! Definitely worth checking out.

It's not Rocky but it is a very good entertaining boxing movie. You can't help but pull for the main character and get caught up in his story.
