I like animation in general, so being familiar with what Japan has done with it is not that big of a leap. Some of my favorites were Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, so when I heard the creator behind that had done another series, I was eager to buy. So far I have only watch a few episodes. They are more comical as a strategy goes. Comedy was always there in the past works, but here more as the reason for the whole series. It does play with things on a more immature level, but that is what makes it funny...its laughing at itself. The sense of humor tends to fit well with the American sense of humor, not just exclusively with the Japanese one. Anyways...I am enjoying this. BTW the same man (sorry his name escapes me) did a more serious series named "Kids on the Slope", which is a lot about growing up in the 60s in Japan, and driven by Jazz music. I wish Best Buy carried that one too, because I would have easily bought it.

This show is absolutely delightful. It's genuinely funny, and yet at the same time despite the absurdity it has moments that will bring you to the brink of tears. It's got Shinichiro Watanabe's prints all over it, and anyone who is a fan of his other work will enjoy it.

You'll know whether you love the show by the end of the first episode, because it goes from 0 to 60 without a moment's notice. The story is dynamic, the characters are fun, and the animation style is attention-grabbing.

From the director of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, both classics, comes Watanabe's new series. It's mostly a parody of older space anime series but it is very funny and well animated. Hoping for more.

I watched some previews for this series online and bought it because it was very colorful and the animation moved so much. Great series, funny, full of action and adventure.

Took me awhile to get in to liking space dandy but im glad I did. Reminiscent of cowboy bebop. I recommend if you like wacky tv shows.

This is a good anime! The scenes are funny and had good voice acting cast!

This show is awesome, but there is no continuity between episodes so that may throw people off.

Purchased Space Dandy for my boyfriend. He seemed to be happy with the item.

I picked this up not knowing anything about it. I was delighted with the story and the animation. It took about 3 episodes to get into it. It makes me want season 2!!!

Space Dandy is a funny outer space comedy and each episode stands alone. Lots of fun to watch.
