this never disappoints. is a great show. well directed

I started to rate it because I've seen one of the Spartacus episodes, but disc 1 won't play. I checked disc 2 and it seems fine. I have my receipt so if I can exchange it I'll review it then. I would recommend this series, not this disc.

Sweat, bulging muscles, men, girls, men vs men, men staring at men, men staring at women, bad guys, good guys, men vs women, women vs women, women vs men, men vs animals, guys loving gals, guys loving guys, gals loving gals, bulging bulges, poking and proding by various and asundry instruments, uniforms, shiny objects, great sets... interiors, exteriors, and other soft things that come in sets, did I mention men and women in no or few clothes? Sharp pointed objects, dull blunt objects, loud music, grunts, severed heads, and action galore. Did I mention decadent sweaty tatted men? Who needs dialog when you have all that? Who could ask for more in one series? I must admit I missed the male lead in the original series (may he rest in peace bless his soul) but the new guy did a bang up job. Great series.

This series is amazing! Graphics, story line, and dramatization is right on que! Right from the beginning is nothing but non stop action. Great collection to add to your 300 movie!

Bought this for black Friday cause it was obviously a good deal at the time but I also just love this show. I was sad to see it end. Only negative thing as I mentioned is with a new LED-LCD Samsung TV and this in blu ray I do notice the blood looks really fake now but I kinda understand the CGI needed or they would have spend alot of money on blood.

This is highly anticipated prequel to Spartacus: Blood and Sand, a tv show from Starz Entertainment. This show is about the rise of Lucretia and Batiatus, former slave owners of Spartacus. Main gladiator is Gannicus who is one of the most admired characters through Spartacus saga. If you have enjoyed season 1 then you will enjoy this.

I was not expecting to get sucked into a series as we normally don't keep up with them. This was series was great! Made sure to watch each week. The acting was great, the plot was awesome, plenty of graphic violence. Not suitable for the kiddos but what good show is?

prequel to blood and sand you only get six episodes but they are very good you must watch before you see blood and sand this show is about the first champion of capua Gannicus!

This season is great puts together the events before Spartacus showed up only bad thing was created due to original Spartacus getting cancer

Great prequel series to "Spartacus: Blood and Sand ." Excellent video and audio quality. Not for kids and the weak stomached.

it want more in the history of it. they are calling the new series "series 2" when it is really series 3

I couldn't stop watching this season. The story line is perfect, and the acting phenomenal.

They took a difficult situation and kept the series alive. Good job!

Very short compared to the first season, and an ok story. PQ and AQ is great, as expected from a Spartacus release.

I purchased this series as a Christmas gift. Good price at Best Buy

Alright this season was never supposed to be exist but after Andy Whitfield was diagnosed with cancer they filmed it just to kill time basically until he returned and it proves cause this season was just awful.
