This is a great 4K presentation of this 90s horror film. I found on rewatching the movie it still holds up fairly well. While not extremely scary, the makeup and practical effects work are well executed and should be worth a watch for fans of horror or supernatural thrillers. This does come with a slipcover that was sealed along with the disc case.

This is a great movie for Sci-Fi nerds. Dont show it to kids though... the sound track is amazing. Picture and film audio is great too. H.R. GIGER did a great design. I say dont show to kids because there is a lot of Alien nudity.

Beautiful girl, what were at the time decent cgi...and a good pace scifi adventure for adults. Not going to win an oscar - but very entertaining...

Fantastic the Scream Factory is making a hit with these 4K movies in the last few months. SPECIES is one of those Alien monster movies that you just have to see to believe. Whoever picked Natasha for the lead as the mature female alien, did an outstanding job! Great supporting cast as a whole, picture quality and sound are also pretty good if you have the right equipment. 4K HDR TV, some kind of stereo set up where you are not just using your TV speakers. Packing is good, I had no complaints on it and the discs inside were in their holders. Slipcover is very nice and clean. Love it. Menus look good and easy selections for the 4K and the Blu-rays. 3-disc set, 1 4K and 2 Blu-rays.

Not a great movie but the 4K is great. Scream factory never lets me down.

The transfer of this movie is good great but not excellent or superior. I do like the restored some of the features from the original laser disk released back in 1995, as opposed to the previous Blu-ray only release. There is some new extra material on here as well as the original theatrical trailer. The original Dolby digital audio has been replaced with a DTS. I wish studios would remaster all of their library in their original native soundtrack rather than converting Dolby Stereo soundtracks to DTS.

I'm so surprised they had this in store! Scream factory is the best bringing random cult movies into your hands. This is the first movie I ever saw that was rated. My dad took me to it and I'm always loved the alien design. The man who designed it was awesome. Look into HR giger's work if you want to find out more.

I didn't have this classic as part of my movie collection but upon watching it on TV one day, I was determined to get this movie. The actors did such an amazing job with their roles. If you are on the fence about purchasing this movie, this 4K version of the film will entice you and I can assure you won't have no regrets whatsoever. Highly recommend 10/10!

I've always been a fan of this movie since I saw it in the theaters back 1995. It's never boring and with it's weird sexual overtones it draws you in. I guess it's my Quilty pleasure. The 4k transfer is terrific. Noticeably better than the blu ray, but what stands out is the audio. The 5.1 output packs a punch. Folks, you got to get this one.

Amazing movie. It is truly a classic. This special edition is well worth the price. Best Buy's price was more than fair in comparison to other sellers on the internet. I appreciate their shipping services. They are accurate on delivery date and have a great tracking option.

Always loved Species and will always upgrade when a new version is released. If you like this movie this release by Scream Factory is a pretty stacked set. My only real complaint is the case itself is garbage. The disc holders aren't long enough and several of the discs were just rattling around the box.

For an old sci fi the 4k transfer looks good. Story still holds up too.

I have never seen this movie myself personally. I decided to purchase it since its on 4k and the fact that its from shout factory. I personally love shout factory collector's editions and Im glad I can still find them at best buys, at least for now
