In my car i had it attached to a vent that wasnt and it came off without loosening a few times, other wise holds magsafe phones well.

I have a Subaru, and so vents are vertical rather horizontal, which might be the issue, I’m very disappointed. The magnet strength is good.

The charging is still hard to get and the Oh Snap brand car mount lasted less than a month before it came unglued from the dash. It also was spotty on charging. After trying a mechanical grip mount, I was passing the phone mount display in a Best Buy store and stuck my phone on a Speck MagSafe mount on display. It stuck and held great so I bought one. It mounts securely to the vent and holds my phone more securely than any other mount I've ever used. The cord holder in the back keeps the cord conveniently near the mount. I bought a second one to leave in my suitcase for travel. I wish all phone accessories worked this well.

Just be aware that the magnetic force is not SUPER strong. It's strong enough 95% of the time, but if it catches on something, like the treadmill cupholder at the gym in my case(I retrieved it later from their lost and found), it will slide off.
