Customers are impressed with the Google Pixel Magfolio Tablet Case's magnetic attachment, citing ease of use and secure tablet placement. However, some users experienced issues with the camera cover not staying open and the case's incompatibility with the charging dock. The placement of the stylus holder also received negative feedback. Overall, the magnetic functionality is a highlight, but design flaws affect usability for some.

Some flaws, but provides what I wanted

Although there are a few design flaws, this case is still very good for what I needed. I keep my Pixel Tablet at home on its dock for most of the time at home, but often bring it to work or on a trip, and so I was looking for a case that could be put on and taken off easily (rather than trying to pry off something that's stiff and snug each time) and would cover the screen. The magnet system works great for this -- it snaps into place nicely, and can withstand a fair amount of jostling without falling out. Obviously, this isn't a case that will offer full protection from drops, since there's no edge/corner protection at all apart from the bottom edge. But I was willing to give that up in exchange for the easy-on/easy-off convenience.
Materials are very nice, with a kind of textured vinyl/plastic on the outside and a soft alcatara-like material on the inside. This kind of folio case is not my favorite -- I prefer the kind where the cover can fold into thirds and act as a kickstand. And the two rows of indentations (corresponding to two rubber feet on the bottom edge of the tablet) that allow you to adjust the angle aren't a secure fit -- it's easy for the tablet to slide further down.
There's a flap on the rear for the camera that can be opened a secured magnetically, but realistically, most people probably won't be taking photos with that camera while in the case, since it would require the bottom flap to hang down.
As mentioned in other reviews, if you use the loop on the side for a USI stylus, it'll partially block the tablet's USB-C port. The loop is flexible, so it's not that big a deal to move the stylus out of the way to access the port, but it's still a little awkward.
On the whole, though, this was one of the only cases on the market that provided what I wanted in a case. I did see a couple of magnetic cases from off-brand Chinese companies on Amazon, but reviews were mixed, and I preferred to stick with a well-known company like Speck (even with the somewhat hefty price).

I needed a case for my pixel tablet and saw that this was the only one available in store. I’ve used Speck products before and thought this would be a good option. After a few weeks I’m left a little frustrated with this.
I do enjoy this connects via magnets. It’s easy to remove and they are strong enough that it doesn’t fall off. My three main issues are that there is no sleep/wake function. So even after closing it, it remains on which drains your battery without noticing itS the other problem is the location for the stylus. It is at the “top” when in portrait mode and thus you are blocking the charging port. You can have it charging while having a pen there but it is just poorly designed. The final issue is the camera cover. It just folds but not has to be folded inwardly, it doesn’t stay open.
It’s as if Speck quickly designed this. Now the tablet itself has some questionable design of its own, so Speck had to work with what Google gave them. I just wished this was a better case with better functionality.

The Pixel Tablet is build differently than other tablets and because of that it needs a different kind of case. This case doesn't really benefit the Pixel Tablet at all besides looking good and providing a small amount of protection. It doesnt allow magnetic charging and the tablet doesn't turn off when you close the case (which is a google problem I assume) but it kind of takes away from the functionality of this folding case. Also the stylus holder is down by the type c charging port so if you have a stylus in you either need to stretch the band or remove the stylus to charge. Minor things in the end but not feeling like its worth the price tag.

As a folio atyle case, it works well. The viewing angles are great. The magnets make it easy to insert and remove the tablet without issue. I like the feel of it, and the added pen loop is convenient. But there are some glaring problems with the case. First off, the flap that covers the camera does not stay open most of the time. I had to wiggle it a lot to "break it in" in order for it to stay, and even then it is inconsistent. Second, and probably the worst flaw imaginable for this case, is that it is in not fully compatible with the charging dock despite advertising it as such. This is a huge let down and might warrant a return on my behalf. If you fold the case in a specific way where the base part the tablet connects to you can get it to stick to the dock, but it won't charge, looks ridiculous with your case hanging all over the place, and defeats the purpose of the dock itself. Overall, this case is okay but is nowhere near as functional as advertised. If you want a folio style case that is simple to use then this is fine, but even with the lack of options for pixel tablet cases, I cannot say this is worth the price given the false information that it works with the dock when it is far from being "compatible."

Sometimes its good to be the first case available for a new piece of tech. These were the only option due to Google's OEM case coming out well after the Pixel Tablet launch. Therefore, this case was priced high for us desperately looking for some sort of protection for our new tablet. It works. Its thin and doesn't add much heaviness to the tablet. The magnets, however, don't hold as well as I'd like, but again, this is a minimal style case. It's better than nothing at all if you plan to travel with the tablet. I would wait until the OEM case is available, though. It'll offer a much easier way to dock and charge at the same time.

Using this case is cumbersome at best.
The tablet can slip out easily.
Using the tablet in-hand is awkward as the tablet is flipped upside down from normal orientation. This leaves the fingerprint sensor and camera on the bottom-right.
The camera flap's magnets are also weak.
The flap holding the tablet shut would have been better if it stuck to the back of the case with magnets - kind of like how the camera flap works. Currently, there's a small slot to tuck the flap into, but it requires slightly lifting the tablet off of the case to do so.

Not the best case I've owned but it does work as expected. However the material seems a little cheaply made and it's a fingerprint magnet. The magnets for the tablet are quite good though. It's not worth the price IMO.

The reason I got this case was it was the only case at the time that has a screen cover. Overall though, the case feels very cheap and flimsy and with the build quality of it, I don't think it's worth more than $15. If you fold it to prop the tablet up, it has a tendency of sliding around and if you fold the cover all the way back, the flap that holds the cover closed gets in the way and just flaps around. About the only positive thing I can say about it is that since its held in by magnets, it makes taking the tablet out of the case easy so you can put it in the dock.

The magnet is strong and so far the tablet stays in place. This wouldn't protect your tablet if you dropped it, so I would keep it inside.m

It is a bit thin, but that also means it is light weight. My biggest gripe is that there are no magnets for automatic sleep/wake.
