It does exactly what it looks like it would do... protects the phone (with a specially designed foam lining pattern on the inside), and lets you hold the big fat iPhone 7+ in one hand like you're Shaq posted up in the paint one-handing a ball. Minus the money or anybody caring that you have this.

This case was on the discounted rack at my local Best Buy for some reason although other colors were not. I happened to like the color so I got it. I was looking for a lightweight, less-intrusive case that would provide decent protection as well as be grippy in the hand so as not to slip and this case fits the bill perfectly. Although I thankfully have not dropped the phone yet (mostly due to the grip of this case), I don't expect anything would happen if I did. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 is that there are clearly better looking cases out there, but they are significantly more expensive, not better.

Very effective. I tested it out as I walked out of the store because I tripped and dropped my phone... hehe. But it’s really good. I can reach the switch on the side easily. Pushing the buttons is made more difficult. I dislike that the can’t slide the phone on a smooth surface, but I got it because I wanted the extra protection that the extra rubber offered so I can’t complain. Over all. Super good case.

For anyone looking for a case with good overall protection, but not as much bulk as as an otterbox, check out this case. It's a bit pricey for what it is, but the grip is excellent. Back and side protection is great. The edges are raised in the front, but it won't help with an angled drop where the screen gets hit, so keep that in mind.

I have been pretty pleased with this case thus far. I no longer like the heavier protective cases since the phone size is already very large, so this was a nice compromise between basic protection and small form factor. The case fits very smug, looks nice, and provides significant protection for all sides and back. I use a glass screen protector with it, but it has enough of a raised front lip to provide some protection to the front screen if dropped flat. Case has great grip, but not the rubbery type grip which interferes with putting in and removing from a pocket, but rather grip due to slight texture on back of case, and corners with rubber bumpers.

so far no problems, but, lots of users complain about the grippy material coming off. Will need to use more to see. Perfect and easy fit for my Iphone 8 plus.Excellent grip, lightweight.Will add later review if problems come up.

I love the grip on this case and that it is not bulky. Iv'e had it about 3 month though and the grip on the back is starting to peel off.

The Grip case provides a secure way to keep a handle on your phone and provides the kind of protection that you are looking for. Barring a total mishap it protects your phone from falls and knocking about. It feels good in the hand and doesn't increase the weight by much. A very good product.

Case is a thin, lightweight case and fits the iPhone 7 plus like a glove. It has good grips on the side that also covers the back to help with holding it. The only drawback is that it does not have a front cover so the glass front of the phone is exposed unless you purchased a phone shield cover.

Great case. Perfect fit and finish. This is my third speck case. Great design as well.

So far so good. With my iphone 7 plus I needed a less bulky protector. Easy to install. There is no screen protector so you have to buy a separate one. Good to have this type of grip protector for this large phone.

I really like the slim design and the protection it gives my phone. It is nice to have the extra battery power when I need it. I do have a few concerns though. It would have been better if they had provided a Lightning charging port instead of a mini USB. I also found that in speaker mode the party on the other line can have a hard time hearing me. I also find it hard to slide the silent switch on the side of the phone. One improvement I do like is bringing the speakers to the front of the phone. The limitation I mention are small for me. The price was right, many cases with this level of protection cost the same with no battery.

I exclusively use Speck products to protect my devices because they are very protective and much more slim than others, looking at you otterbox. My only complaint is that the rubber on the grip version wears out and flakes off pretty quickly.

By Speck calling this case the Presidio Grip they certainly picked an appropriate name. Many cases for the iPhone are slippery but the raised edges on this case actually provide a surface that won't slip through your hand all the while not making the case too large and cumbersome. I have my doubts about how well the case will protect my iPhone in the event of a fall but I hope I never test this feature.

This cover was easy to get on my phone and stayed on it. It is comfortable and has saved my phone and screen many times!

This is my second Speck cover but first for an IPhone. It's fairly protective cover, without all the bulk. I really like the grip strips on the back. The only thing I don't like is how unprotected the camera lenses remain in the cover. This was the problem with all but the most expensive and robust covers I've seen.

I love how the case is thin and reliably protects my fragile iPhone. The color is good as it doesn't show dirt easily. The one thing that isn't good is the rubber grips which come off fairly easily from normal use. It ised to be better quality and more durable.

I have this case on my IPhone 7 plus, and like it quite a bit. It protects my phone well, it doesn't add a bunch of weight and doesn't make my phone really fat and bulky. The cost is a little high compared to similar cases, but overall it's a good case.

Nice gripping case. Won’t slip out of your hands like some other cases.
