So far I’ve found this case too be the perfect case for my needs. Not too bulky but definitely sturdy enough to handle major abuse. And the best part is that, despite it’s sturdiness, it manages to be lightweight. In the past I haven’t been a fan of Speck cases that have the rubber “ribs” on the back because they get stuck on my pocket when I remove the phone, and they break off over time. While I won’t know for sure about the wear issue, they seem to have done something to make the rubber less “sticky” in pocket. They also seem harder, so hopefully wear won’t be an issue, There’s a raised lip on the front that keeps the glass safe when the phone is laid face down. Wireless charging works when using this case, and I was able to use the case with an edge-to-edge screen protector without it peeling up.

This is a great phone case! The grip is awesome and makes it easy to hold my phone confidently without the worry of dropping it. Because of the way the grip goes around to the back it makes it easy to hold your phone with your shoulder too when you need both of your hands for a quick second. I would trust this case to protect my iPhone in a fairly high fall whether on cement, pavement or carpet. It's tough but yet light and looks good. It is compatible with the wireless charging and causes no issues there (it's all plastic so why would it, right?). For the front it does have a bit of an edge so the front is somewhat protected in a fall. Overall, a great case and one I'd definitely recommend.

I’ve been using this product for years. Multiple different iPhone types. Generally outlast my phone but a few have worn down close to charging area.

Had this case on my iPhone 6 and upgraded to an iPhone X. Had to get the same case. Love it.

Lasted until my upgrade. Only downside is over the course of time the rubber on the back comes off.

The Speck - Presidio Grip Case for Apple® iPhone® XS Max is a solid iPhone case. Protective, yet not bulky. Provides a solid grip without being sticky. Slim but not flimsy. The phone case is very durable for the phone amazing

I picked this up as the new main case for my Iphone Xs Max. I was coming from a cheap clear plastic one I got off of Amazon nothing fancy. The black color is very stylish and I like the grip spots on the sides to keep it from slipping in my hands too much. It's rated against a 10 foot drop, I have not purposely dropped my phone yet to test this. It went on like a glove the first time. All the buttons work great, camera has a 100% clear view. I like how the case sticks out from the screen just enough if you were to drop it face down the screen would not be impacted on a flat surface, granted this won't save you from dropping it on rocks etc. It doesn't feel overly cumbersome in my pocket either which is important to me on a case. I've had no problems wireless charging through the case as well. Overall I'm quite happy with the case. I would recommend it as a simple no frills case that looks nice and feel like keeps my phone safe.

The iPhone XS Max is already a big phone as it is without a case. For my case selection, my requirements are drop protection and overall size added. The Presidio Grip Case provides a nice balance of drop protection without being too bulky. The design is pretty much what Speck been using for a while. It's dual-layer design rubber on the inside with an outer hard shell plastic with rubber textures to provide some grip. You also have a choice of different colors to choose from. For most of the phones, I've owned in the past the Speck cases have done a good job of keeping them protected and looking new. Whenever I get a new device my first go to case is a Speck one. Overall is a good case that protects your phone while not adding much bulk to it.

Understanding that the protection a lot of these cases provide is kind of based more on how things fall and just plain luck, I usually just go for Apple's official cases. I've used their silicone cases and really like how tacky they are so they don't slip out of my hand. I've also used their leather cases and love how they look. This Speck case replaced my leather case and I actually like it quite a bit. I'm not a huge fan of the "industrial" look but it's subtle enough that I'll live with it. The case DOES feel like it'll protect my phone quite a bit. The extra lip that extends past the screen feels like, even if I drop my phone perfectly flat down, I'll still be OK. I'm usually a big fan of a case because of how little it adds to the phone. This case isn't the thinnest case I've ever owned by far, but it is pretty thin for a case that's meant to actually protect the phone from drops. It doesn't feel too much larger than the Apple branded leather case it's replacing. The only issues I find with the case are kind of small. This being an iPhone XS Max, the swipe up from the bottom is obstructed a little bit by the fact that the case goes all the way around the bottom of the phone. Apple's cases leave the bottom bits opened but this one is much more encompassing. You feel more protected because of it but you have a slight adjustment to made as you can't just swipe up all willy nilly like before. You just need to make sure your thumb is on the inside of the case before swiping. Another small issue is the also related to the lip on the case as it slightly impairs left and right swiping gestures. Not a huge amount though. Easy to adjust. Lastly, the volume up and down buttons kind of blend in with the side of the phone. This is the most annoying thing I've found so far. I find myself needing to actually find the mute switch hole and then adjusting to find the volume buttons from there. TL;DR; All in all, this is a pretty nice case. It's a change for me but I'm not disappointed with it. The case feels durable but not overly bulky. The couple of small annoyances don't really take much away from the phone. I only wish the volume buttons were a little easier to find without looking at the phone.

I dropped my phone a lot. The casing took a beating. I had to buy another case and screen protector.

Had it less than a month and 1/2 of the rubber grip strips on the back have started peeling off. Maybe I just got a defective one but I won’t be buying another.
