I am really not much of a case person to begin with but now that phones have reached such sky high values i decided my XS Max would need to be protected. The first case i bought as slick and showed every fingerprint along the way. Enter the Presidio grip case to the rescue! I’ve always been a big fan of Speck and this one does not disappoint the ridged design makes it far easier to hold onto - and it also stays in place very well on my console versus my last case that would slide right into the floorboard. I feel well protected and all controls work perfectly - including a right sized cutout for the mute switch that seems to be difficult for most case manufacturers to master. No more bent fingernails!

I’ve used Speck cases in the past and never have been much of a fan. This case has impressed me. The first thing is how thin it is. It is not big and bulky and can easily fit in any pocket. It also offers protection on all sides and edges in case you drop your phone. There is a design on this case which is rubberized. I thought it would restrict it from easily coming in and out of my pocket but it does not. Instead it goes in and out very easy but offers a little grip while holding onto your phone. I highly recommend this case to anyone who wants a simple, thin, and protective case.

I have been using this case for about a week and love it. I had a Speck case before so I already know I would get a great product. This case offers a raised edge so if you drop your phone the screen is less likely to hit the group. It also have a add layer of raised rubber around the body to take of the hit if you did drop it. The rubber also stops it from sliding around easily. The case is all black and looks great. I have a gold model but with this case you would not really know as it cover almost all the back surface area.

This Speck grip case offers excellent protection with just the right amount of grip. At first, I thought maybe it would grip too much and would be difficult to get in and out of my pocket, but it is perfect. The front has a nice raised lip to protect the screen when putting the phone face down. It works well with all the gestures on iPhone, also. Overall it is a great case that offers excellent protection!

The rating will not be lowered despite the terrible pricing because on sale at the right price point ($15-20) this case is totally worth it. It fits my phone snug and is easy to put on. The overall case and the back especially feel really nice. But not $45 nice lol. I did not do a drop test but it feels like it would protect your phone from impact. Speck always comes out with reliable and sturdy cases.

As far as cases go, this case is very good for protection for drops. It also is very "grippy" and makes the phone easier to hold. The only issue I have is I use a magnetic car mount and the thickness of the case makes the connection between the metal plate and magnet not as strong. This is not a major issue but something to be aware of.

This case seems very durable though only time will tell. It is made with a hard plastic and rubber like stuff. The grip area on it is nice. Fit my phone well and allowed me to plug it on with no issues. Have always liked speck products and this one did not disappoint me.

For many generations this has proven to be a great case with great protection and grip. The only con is that the grip can alter color after user in and out of your pockets. This is black on black so not a concern.

Good case that is streamlined and easy to carry without adding unneeded bulk. The grip is also very good because it prevents the phone from sliding out of my pocket or sliding when I put it down somewhere.

Haven’t had it that long and the grips are coming off. Don’t buy this

While I didn’t test the proposed 10ft drop ability because the new iPhone isn’t out yet, I do feel more confident that if I do drop my phone from waist height which seems more likely but also not tested yet, it probably won’t break. Seems pretty solid. It also seems to have good air pockets, especially in the corners to lessen the impact of a fall. The rubber ridges for added grip help keep you from also testing the 10ft drop rating. Solid simple case that should keep you from using your phone insurance.

The Speck Presidio Grip Case works well for anyone who has an iPhone XS Max device. In other words, the camera cutout as well as all other buttons and switches and overall thickness of the case are made to perfectly fit the phone. The only thing that would make this case better is if it had a screen protector, but I know that's asking beyond what this particular product is meant to cover :) And no, I did not attempt a greater-than-10-foot drop with my phone in the case, but it is shock-absorbing enough! I'd recommend if you're looking for the basics in protection, because even the most detailed-oriented of us (looking at me) will drop our phones from time to time!

Decent case that does a good job protecting your phone. No "bells & whistles", just a good case at the right price
