My wife carries her MacBook Pro when traveling, lunching with friends, and for some volunteer work she does. The Speck skin protects the aluminum body of her laptop, which is important to her. We have these on the other two MacBooks we have, for similar reasons. Our son also bought one for his MBP, which he uses for personal and business activities.

Makes the laptop standout and provides great protection

Anyone who owns Apple products knows that Apple designs their products to be sleek and stylish, and folks like to protect that look. I'm no exception, and when I bought my second 13" MacBook, I wanted to ensure that aluminum case was protected. The Speck SeeThru case was a good choice. It protects the lid and underside, as well as the sides, of the MacBook, while still making all of the ports and DVD drive accessible. It even has a small cut-out in the front so the IR port isn't obstructed. The cut-outs for the ports are generous so as not to obstruct larger USB devices like flash drives. I also like the rubberized feet on the bottom, so the MacBook doesn't slide around on slippery surfaces. I was a little disappointed when I saw some scratches on the case. I'm very careful with the MacBooks I have, and when I travel with them, they're always in a case. It's not like they're getting banged into things, and yet I have a few scratches. I shouldn't complain too much, though, because I suppose if the case wasn't on the MacBook, it would be the MacBook that got scratched.

Love the extra protections and the fit was great! Got clear since I didn't really nee anything fancy and I like I can see the outside of my laptop.

Great protection, fit, and look. Be sure to get the right case, as the cases for the Retina display laptops are slightly different than older models.

I believe this is the best protection available for the MacBook Pro. I purchased one for my husband a couple of years ago, and it is still in great shape along with the computer. I converted to the Mac, and wouldn't use anything else.

This seethru case fits great on my MacBook Pro, it helps a lot to protect from scratch and it is easy to put in.

This is a good product and has not cracked after being put to the test. It scratches a little easy in my opinion but I believe that is because it is the glossy finish.

It protects the mac from scratches but still shows off the apple. A padded carry bag protects it from falls.

After purchasing my first MacBook Pro, I decided to buy its common body protector and it's well worth it., despite the price being a bit pricey for me.
