This case is extremely light, which is what I was hoping for as the point of the new MacBook is to have a light and portable computer. Keeps the computer itself scratch and ding free for when I'm transporting the computer to and from class and work in my bag. Nice extra piece of mind.

After reading a ton of reviews stating to NOT get the case, I figured i'd give it a shot anyways.. cause hey, who are you to tell me what to buy? I have to say... they were all right. The case cracked on all edges whilst I was dreaming away about me being rich. I never thought that a case would have cracked while it was.. well.. untouched. I was disappointed until I contacted Speck themselves to ask "Why in the world would this happen?" They came to save the day as they shipped me a new (un-cracked) case. I have yet to have the problem again, so as for now, I give it 4 stars.

It's a good case. Durable but still lightweight, so it doesn't add too much weight on the laptop.

I don't like scratches and dings on my equipment. This shell keeps my laptop looking brand new.

This case is a great way to keep the cool look of your MAC and protect it from bumps and scratches. The only downside is its a little pricy.

I have akways never understood why people don't put cases on laptops. You see it all the place on cell phones & tablets but only rarely on laptops which in most cases esoeally if your a part of the Apple eco system is your most expensive item in your backpack. I have always had a case on my laptop it provides a level of security from spills & scratches that are needed esoeally down the road if you want to resell your laptop in my last few instances the cost of of a case assed to my resale of an extra fifty to houndred $ more then if there had been no case. Pause if you get the MacBook I feel this is a must have the slim form makes it very easy to get little marks from putting in back bags over a long period of time. In many reviews one of the last things they say is for Nacbook get the case & as my last comments I say heed my suggestion and pay the extra for this great speck case.

Speck case looks good and fits right on my Macbook. I got it on sale so it was a great deal for an awesome product. By far I do not have any complaint about it. It gives my Mac a much needed protection it deserve. Good product, definitely a buy.
